  • how does this rate with the 2012 edition?

    • this is 2012 edition i.e. nexus 7 the first, i.e. the one with the Tegra 3

      • yeah sorry meant the 2013, but looked it up anyways, 2013 has increased performance and better screen though this is still a pretty good deal

how does this rate with the 2012 edition?

I would say it is very evenly matched ;)

  • So this time you can price match with Officework because they still have 32GB version.

  • Don't pull the trigger yet, wait for the Apple announcement for iPad mini!

    • If you look at the price of the iPhone 5s and 5c I don't think they will be cheap.

      Nah, I prefer Android

      • I expect MasterNoob was referring to the devaluing of all competing products that tends to happen after a new product is announced or launched.
The thinking is that once people know how aaaaaahsome the iThing is going to be, nobody will want to buy a Nexus, so they have to drop the price even further to shift stock.
That obviously happens when new models of the same product are launched (ie why we now have these prices on 2012 Nexuses because the 2013 Nexus is out), but maybe it also happens across different ends of the category too…?

special feature that iphone user believed in!

        • I came close to spitting out my morning coffee so thank you for that.

    • This will be one of the last few chances at getting a 2012 model as stores are clearing stock. Any new iPad mini will be well above this price so it's not relevant.

  • Is there pickup ?

    • As the OP says '@EB Games Online only', I guess there's no pickup facility but you could try teleporting yourself to the online store for a quick pickup ;)

Buyer beware, some who bought a Nexus 7 from EB Games last week received refurbished units rather than "new" ones: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/116667

    • This happened to me in the past too. Shame on EB.

  • OW will price match provided the delivery fee is included.

    • Just show them the web page sometime they may not aware of the delivery.

      • meh the stores near my place are smart you see.

        • Stores are out of stock.

        • We are talking about officeworks … :p

    • Tried pricematching at OW on Pitt St in sydney and they wouldn't do it. Said that EB stores were recalling them (presumably cos they were refurbs?).

      • Just bought one from Clarence St OW in Sydney. They beat the price + delivery by 5% and I could use my Coles Myer giftcard!

  • I reckon this xmas the price of the 2013 will come to this.

  • Was about to buy but the thought if these being refurbs are this price turned me off. And since its online only we cant check it before buying. Guess I'll wait till xmas and see how low the 2013 ones drop

  • Not such a good deal if refurbs

  • Mines refurbished
