You claim to have got it at Castle Towers. One problem "Some items are not available at this store." Does not allow you to even proceed through checkout, I think your fibbing?

    • Got one 2hours ago. Maybe the last one.

      • -1

This deal is not available for delivery.

        There is no stock:

        Castle Towers
        Parramatta
        Bondi Junction
        Horsby
        Burwood
        Wollongong

I give up. There is no stock!

        • Stock still showing for Melbourne Bourke Street.

        • +1

          scratches head

  • Must be display unit.

  • This is truly a great deal.

    1. Mac mini's are usually excluded in these deals (dicksmith, myer, jbhifi)

    2. Mac mini prices just went up $100 in the apple store

    3. Rumours suggest the mac mini won't be updated to Haswell for another year.

Thanks OP bought 4 for the home computer lab.

    • Which store still have stock? I think not Sydney.

      • Perth city had 3 boxes left after i left

        • Good on you no way Sydney will have stock.

    • -1

What store? I cannot find any store that has stock.

afaik mac minis are always included in 10%/$100 off offers, including
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117650
      http://www.dicksmith.com.au/apple-computers/apple-mac-mini-2…

all macs are currently $100 off at djs

btw don't you think that buying 4 warrants a +ve vote for this deal?

        His lying.

Perth city had 3 boxes left after i left

This was posted 36 minutes ago, your comment was 20 minutes ago. 16 Minutes to get to an OPEN David Jones store, at 11:00pm purchasing $2100 in items, an than posting.

Doubt it mate. Without a doubt he'll claim he seen this deal before it was posted, but I smell lies.

        • +2

It's 9:45pm in Perth at the moment.

          http://www.davidjones.com.au/Store-Locations-and-Trading-Hou…

So he went in store, literally within 2 minutes of this deal? Doubt it.

9:45 now (my apologies, forgot the time difference) -minus 44 minutes (deal posted 44 minutes ago) = 2 minutes to get in before 9:00pm closing.

And a true OzBargainer would go home. Order online and apply the discount codes (Saves an extra $15 per unit x 4 = $60) and collect in the morning.

        • all perth stores closed at 9pm. he must have been at that store and bought it at the very last minute before it closed

        • +1

          ozbargained!

          not srs

        • I live 1km from the city, thrashed my audi rs5 to get there before closing,

had to duck under the roller doors to get in

and demanded the manager to put the sale through as by the time the guy got the mac mini from the warehouse it was pretty much closing time,

and i asked the clerk how many was left after my four and he said 3.

          pics or it didn't happen

          well….

And please take another with the receipt (as per previous reply)…

        • "Ozbargin"

          Neg for spelling. ;)

Need photo of 4 boxes on top of the Audi RS5… ;-)

        • +2

Good bargain, but you're a tool.

    • Just curious, how do you plan to use 4? :D

Can Mac Mini's be placed in some sort of server-type arrangement….or in series or something..

  • +2

Well Bourke street store in central Melbourne has them in stock for $599 if their web page is to be believed. None at Doncaster or Glen Waverley.

  • None in melbourne

  • VIC is officially out of stock lol
I don't need one but was very tempted

  • +1

If you miss out the refurbished store has them for $589

  • No stock anywhere i can see. Not really a deal if its not available

  • None in Perth either

  • Is this still the late-2012 model on sale or have they updated it? I bought one start of the year and find it as slow as batsh*t for some reason. My older 2009 model seems to be more responsive. Maybe I need to do wipe it completely.

    • No - still the 2012 model.

The weak link is the crappy 5400RPM hard drive. You really need to stick an SSD in it for decent performance; I've put one in my mid-2011 model and it flies…

      • Doesn't explain why my 2009 model is more responsive. I was thinking the problem might be Mountain Lion. Or my unit is fked.

  • what kind monitor do you use to match up with a mac mini? apple's, dell's ultrasharp or a cheap and tiny 19"?

    • I have a wall mounted led TV, run a 10m hdmi under the house to the garage. Bluetooth keyboard and mouse work from the loungeroom. Mac mini hooked up to two 4tb hard drives with TV and movie via plex. Then 'TV shows app 2' to schedule new episodes via utorrent.

      It's amazing.

      • +1

You have to keep it in the garage? Tough wife ;-)

  • Worst…. stock checker thing…. ever…

  • +1

Got the last one at hay street perth

  • Nice find op. Castle Hill would be the closest store for me. Argh, and I was looking for one of these on Gumtree yesterday but didnt check ozbargain.

  • Apple will be releasing the new MacMini with the Haswell Processor in the next few weeks. I don't think it's a huge desktop thing, more a power saver for laptops. But I may be wrong.

The best thing to do with a Mac Mini is put 2 drives into them using the adaptor kit available online. Put a 256gb SSD as boot drive and a 2tb 7200rpm spinner as drive 2.

  • With DSE moving in in next month, there have been a lot of crazy deals going on at DJ.
    Deals I spotted

Half price ex demo iPad 2 and iPad 3.
30-40% off mac mini including i7 model.
Half price ex demo Mac book Pro and Mac
    book Air.
Half price Sony and Samsung laptops.
    Half price Samsung tablets.

    • Is this at all DSE stores or just one particular store?

      • All David Jones stores..

        I got a Macbook Air 13" 128G 2012 model for $460.

        • How ?

        • It's half price and does not have a charger, hence additional $89 dollars off (price of an authentic charger). I can just buy a kogan charger for $39.

        • thats fxxxking awesome!!

    • Hi mate, Which DJ store did you see this deals at?

  • Nothing at Melb city store
