    '1st post be nice'
Face it, this place can be viscious. My 1st post they stripped me clean, then picked at the bones.
Problem was they were right. I'd knaively posted an Ebay scam. Ouch.

    • lol

    • it seems i have used the wrong opening line. xD

It's actually listed as a no-no in the posting guidlines :P

New users shouldn't write I'm new, don't flame me etc.
For first time posters, it's best to avoid telling the community that you are new and asking them to take it easy on you. The “1 icon” will be shown to indicate if this is your first post.

        • O.O I Didn't know there is posting guideline.. Well thanks for that i will have a look at it. ;)

Lucky for you they didn't focus on your schpelling.

    • Exactly why I refrain from posting anything I find. Someone else usually comes along and posts it anyway.

I'd knaively posted an Ebay scam.

knavely - like an olden days male servant
naively - lacking in worldly knowledge

      combination
knaively - a male servant that is lacking in knowledge?

Really? Your only post belongs to Wollies.

  • The Samsung Book 7 Ultrabook has been $899 before:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/114773

But that was the 1600x900 version. This appears to be the 1920x1080 version.

  • Hard to follow these DSE sales. I bought this on-line yesterday for $599, supposedly a $200 saving so RRP = $799

    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/laptops-notebooks/asus-f550cc-x0…

Today the exact same machine is selling for $799, supposedly a $100 saving so RRP = $899.

Better not be another pricing error a la Lenovo; although I actually saw the machine in-store yesterday for $599.

    • I reckon you got a good deal for that laptop. I went to the store yesterday and tried to push down the price. The shop assistant was reluctant to do so and then finally, he showed me the mark-up price of the laptop. I couldn't recall the exact price but it should be around 640-650 so basically they are making a loss.

I thought it was laptops for $300-$400

    • me too :(

  • Any views on the Samsung ? Can't find any reviews.

  • Any opinions on the Toshiba P70-A01D in terms of price and specs?

  • Keen to hear comments on the Toshiba 17.3" Satellite P70-A01D Notebook.

    It looks pretty good:-

    Haswell 4th Gen i7 with 16GB (2 x 8GB with 2 more slots empty)
Discrete GPU: nVIDIA GeForce GT 740M 2GB With Optimus + Intel® HD Graphics 4600

    Only negs I see are
    1/ lack of 1080p - 1600 x 900
    2/ and slow HDD
    3/ lack of Blu-Ray

Given many P70's have two drives I suspect it has room to add an SSD???

    • Oops - turns out the P70-A01D posting is a dupe. Just as well though as I had missed the other - and pulled the trigger after doing research from having seen this one.

So better to move P70-A01D discussion here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117915

  • The L50 is not bad for i7 3rd gen with 740M
