I really don't know much about vacuums - so please excuse my ignorance - what is the advantage / disadvantage of buying this one as to the dyson deal that was posted a couple of days ago from Masters? Ignoring of course the difference in being from another country etc
The dyson is a LOT more expensive - does it really do that much of a better job?

thanks to all the vacuum experts!

    • +2

Once you have used a dyson you will not go back to any other vacuum cleaner. It is defintely worth the extra $. As mentioned below, I also used a dyson to vacuum carpet after it was just vacuumed with another and the dyson collector still had fine particles of dust all clumped together forming this fine powder which you can empty easily.

Some people swear by Dyson, but not all… some say they are extremely over-rated and just look fancy.

      I highly rate Miele.

      • I have used both - Dyson wins hands down.

        Bosch FTW.

Oh god, what have I become?

We have 1 of these and a cheap entry level Dyson in my office, to me the dyson is heaps better, cleans and sucks all sort of dust even after using this vacuum cleaner. Good thing with this is you dont need to empty this for few months as the container is huge while you need to empty the dyson after 3-4 uses. Dyson is also quite complicated and some of the staff dont know how to use it and will just use this Henry instead

And this is more durable then the dyson, and can withstand more abuse compare to dyson.

I clean for a living, & have used just about every type of vacuum there is.
The Dyson is ok, not fantastic, but way, way overpriced. As said before, this one is a strong build & motor, & doesn't need to be emptied after each vacuum. That's good enough for me!

Dyson is great for homes, not to mention, if it fills up faster it's obviously better! These are more the industrial knock around types.

Iv had both Dyson and Henry and the Henry is far superior in every way ,I'd never buy the over priced Dyson again ,

  • If you put the voucher code: H15 it will tell you that the code is expired but will give you a 10% discount instead! NICE!

what made me decide to get this… was on a cruise ship and noticed that they only used these numatics…

    must be ultra durable.

  • I will opt for Dyson and I recommend you to use Dyson too. I did a quick research and found that you just have to pay around $50 extra here (http://www.2ndsworld.com.au/dyson-dc34-aminal-handheld-vacuu…) and you can get a much more powerful and user-friendly vacuum cleaner.

For sure it is my personal thoughts :)

Just Australia Post - Parcel guy

        • Thanks, is there any chance you could copy paste your tracking record to here? My tracking stucked on 11/10 and no update since. My local Auspost guy is awful, never ring the bell and sometimes don't even left a card.

I know what you mean about the parcel guys - I often get a card - when I have been home all day and you know they haven't even tried. I was actually pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to go and collect this from the post office.
Hope you manage to track down your Henry - I'm very happy with ours so far.

        • Thanks for posting your tracking record saxlady :)
It seems the tracking did update when it arrived in Aus.
Great to hear you are liking your Henry, hope my Henry won't be far away.

  • Anyone is still waiting their Henry? There is still no update on my tracking :(

  • @ saxlady and nicbaz. I finally received my Henry today. Apparently he not only went on a trip to ShangHai China, but also got injured and had a massive dint on one of the stainless steel straight tube.
I'm pretty disappointed that it took such a long time to arrive in this condition, not to mention Henry was sitting in the Post Office since 28/10/13, while I wasn't carded until today (dodgy postie dated back on the card as 28/10/13). And I was at home all day that day!
