What fluid do you use with it?
Vax have a Carpet Cleaner solution they recommend

this solution is low suds to suite this sort of product.
You can also dilute this product add it to a spray bottle and use it as a spot & stain remover remove before washing the carpet. 4 parts water, 1 part solution.
Damn, I just spent twice this much on a bissel machine 2 weeks ago. But in that time its saved our light coloured carpet from 2 massive stains - a full 500ml cup of cranberry juice - and a half can of coke zero.
My tip is get the one with the separate upholstery hose/attachment like this VAX one, its brilliant for quickly sucking up the spill, before you go back and set up the machine for the full carpet cleanup afterwards.
I use the bissel fluid you get from Harvey Norman.

We have had one of these for years. Great machine for carpet cleaning - we were surprised at how good it was.
Only issue we have had is that the tank can leak when attached (I think it is a valve issue).
We use the carpet cleaning fluid from Godfreys as it is much cheaper than the official Vax one.
