Why is Woolworths abbreviated to WOW? I've seen this around a fair bit lately.

Is WOW an acronym or did they just pick three random letters from their name?

easier to type and that's the ASX code? just guessing

    Don't use "WOW" for electronics.

Wow Sight and Sound are still around online, and they were fairly wide spread in the Eastern States.

Deal Store updated Wollworths to avoid confusion

  • The keyboard is too compact to be comfortable. Not for constant use.

  • Is the receiver a nano?
If I so I will get just for the mouse as my k400 is a pain to use with my minix x7

I bought one of these as my laptop keyboard is water damaged and I had an assignment due ASAP. It works well, I don't have small hands but the small sized keyboard is no problem. I haven't used the mouse so can't comment on that. The batteries are included which was a plus for me. My only complaint is that it wasn't on sale when I bought it!

  • problem with wireless keyboard is when your window is stuck on booting and you have to press enter, you can't! :(

    • Yeah, you definitely need a wired USB keyboard somewhere in the house, if only for this. I bought the $9 one from Kmart.

    • The Logitech unifying receiver models don't have the problem you're talking about.
The unifying receiver isn't bluetooth, and as such doesn't need Windows drivers to work.

This device isn't a unifying one, but might still use the same communication method. The one which works during PC boot up I think is called RF or 2.4ghz.

Is MK250 better than MK220? Picked up 2x MK250 for $10 each at DJ's bargain bin some 3 months ago.

How is this compared to the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 on Office Works for $19?

    • Had a MS wireless setup (model?) but have been using this one for a couple of years now and cannot fault it, better than my old MS set.
Only replaced the kb battery the other day. Mouse battery does 3 or 4 months but I do play a lot of games with it.
I only paid $20 for my MK220 back then.
KB is standard size … just does not have excess around the edges, cant fault it.
BTW… the receiver on my set was NOT nano.

    • I have the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800, no complaints.

It is much larger than the logitech

  • I miss the logitech K400 deal ;-(

  • I bought this when they were on special before. nice and compact, mouse is small but not too small, loud clicks. keyboard is rearranged, little edge space, med-soft touch, 2 stands on back, a bit awkward but does the job. receiver is the long one. kb says k220 and mouse m150 on the back - i assume it's still the same. overall=good value for casual use.

  • Any one used it to connect to smart TV directly..
