        Seagate are one of the least reliable models of drive currently.

    No bargain here. There is no reliability difference in 500gb drives since the technology is simple (it doesn't push disk densities or have a big number of platters).

    1 to 2tb portable drives
    and >2tb desktop drives
    both have reliability differences - and seagate is the least reliable.
