  • wow I remember ordering from PLE 13 years ago. They have to be doing something right to stay around that long.

They have to be doing something right to stay around that long.

Explain Catch of the Day, Megabuy and Harvey Norman then…

This is not a 1440p monitor just a heads up. If you plan to use it for gaming and have a decent GPU, definitely consider a LG/Samsung korean 1440p LED.

Yeah, I personally don't like using 1080p on 27" monitors, feels a little too big.
Maybe because I'm too used to U2711s :(.

    • True. I have both 1440p and 1080p 27" monitors.

Sometimes, the words on the 1440p monitor are way too small that I have to zoom in to read web pages.

Another issue is that some applications like Solidworks have GUI which end up scaled so small that I have to change resolution or drag it to ther 1080p monitor to make them usable.

Of course, you can always reduce the resolution to solve this but just a heads up for those jumping into 1440p like I did!

      • Depends on your eyesight I guess.

Also, you shouldn't reduce the resolution from native outside of 3D applications. Increase your font size rendering if you have bad eyes.

1440 on a 27" @70cm away is bliss if you have good enough eyes to handle it.

  • 1920 x 1080, pass
