Hmmm, nobody cared when [iPad 4 16GB] (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117811/) was posted for $397 last month even though iPad 5 is coming this month.

      • Because iPad 5 won't be cheap but for Bay Trail Intel promise sub 100 tablet this Christmas. They are going to flood the market.

        • Wow! A windows tab for a little over $100? Count me in! :D

  • Intel Bay Trail is coming.

  • Asus quality is too bad
Got a padfone2 and nexus7, either of them went warranty repair

  • got one at dicksmith last month with the dock for $349..

    • That was a steal, can you comment on the build quality and how do you find it?

I have both of them and would say both of them are great and build quality are good.

This one is smaller and feel a bit lighter, the TF810C with dock is a bit bigger and heavier which you may feel more sturdy. But nevertheless they are very similar.

I originally bought this tab as I want a win8 tablet so that I can do some works on it, e.g. excel, word… etc. But found out that, if you are seriously want to do some work with it, you definitely need a keyboard. As the onscreen keyboard will occupy half the screen and cover mostly whatever you are trying to do, e.g. excel. That's why I've got the TF810C as well, and hopefully it will work better.

Sizewise, I would say this one feels more portable to me as it is similar to ipad size. The TF810C is somewhat like a netbook together with the dock. Even without the dock, it looks a bit odd just to carry the screen around, as it is just a little bit too big.

        My 2 cents.

      • Had it for a week now, it took a bit of getting used to going from a Transformer prime.
Build quality is better than the Prime that I paid close to $800 for. The screen dock/release mechanism is much sturdier, the screen looks pretty good and doesn't have the annoying little gaps between the screen and the casing on my Prime.

Performance is quite good, I mainly use it for web browsing, it's HEAPS faster than any android tablet!

  • Bought one back in July Pricematched at officeworks $375.00 love it does everything i need it to do. Touch screen is responsive and have not any probs smartcover and keyboard was $118 at HN
