tomb raider is an awesome game as well!

I dont see any value in getting this kind of bundle now..

    Best would be to get the ~$400 bundle. 500GB ps3 console + 3 games(fifa 2014/gta V/the last of us/beyond two souls)

    • Doesn't it make a good bluray player if that's all you want?

      • +1

If all you wanted was a bluray player. You might as well buy yourself a bluray player. And save yourself $100+.

Grab a caddy for $11, throw in a 500GB HDD for about $50 and you're all set.

    • Only really worth it if you have the hdd already really

      • +1

Why's that? The 500GB bundles are still around the $380 mark. With this deal, a caddy and a HDD you'd still come out at ~$270 which is over $100 better.

        • if we went by your estimate, the drive + caddy + hdd would cost $260 to have 500gb

I think $60 to on sell these games is quite reasonable and if you went by my figures and the 500gb bundle from EB it could be $219'ish. You could even get tomb raider (from ozgameshop) and barely pass $250.

Complicated, but still reasonable, atleast to me…lol

    • what kind of hdd does it take? like a laptop or ssd 2.5" or external?

      • +2

        2.5" internal.

Is the xbox 360 HDD compatible with this?

    • +2

tear it apart, connect it to a sata port on pc, format it, get a caddy for PS3 Ultra Slim and set it in, let PS3 format to its own thing.

Could skip the connecting to PC Sata and connect it directly to PS3, However don't know if it being in the 360 format will mess with PS3.

        Thanks for a straight answer

My pleasure bro! Also you asked what the difference between PS3 and 360 HDD's are, the actual hardware is just a normal 2.5 internal drive, MS install some kind of a special firmware on theirs while Sony allow you to stick any 2.5 and PS3 does rest. Many people call them laptop drives. If you don't already have a spare Xbox HHD than I would recommend you just get yourself a standard 2.5 inch drive, the kmart deal was for a 320GB Xbox drive, you can grab a 500GB at MSY for about 55, for 5 dollars you get an extra 150GB plus no need to tear apart the drive. Later!

just answer the question rather than negging. What's the difference between an xbox hdd and a PS hdd? Just asking because you can buy $49 xbox drives from kmart

      • +1

        EDIT: already answered.

  • Do you need a larger HDD to play games like GTA V on PS3?

  • So this applies to the Amex deal? $50 off for the $250+ spend

Also, how much is tomb raider worth? I'm only buying this for gta:v

    • That's exactly what I am thinking! and find the cheapest gta v!
And I dont want Tomb raider…

      • Interested to try Tomb Raider, so PM me if you'd like to make a deal.

Playstation 4 release date Nov 29 woo!

    • +1

Also goes without saying that if you were on the fence and just decided to lock in a PS4, you're probably not going to get one before year's end.

  • Still waiting for my $179 raincheck from kmart (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/116714). Might just get this deal even though I've played Tomb Raider on PC already.

  • question is this price going tobe further splashed in the coming month?

  • JB HiFi just price matched the deal for me but as I have already played trough tomb raider on the 360 they let be have heavy rain.

Only picked one up for the blu ray and chance to play the sony exclusives that you can pick up cheap now days
