Marquee 3x 3m Easy up Gazebo $137 in Store @ Bunnings Homebase Subiaco (WA) - RRP $168

40

I have been thinking of purchasing an Oztrail 3x3 Gazebo for the upcoming summer to take on camping trips and outdoor events. I have seen the Oztrail 3x3 gazebos retail anywhere between $199 to $299.

Today while in Bunnings-Homebase Subiaco I spotted a similar gazebo on special for $137. A quick check of the product barcode revealed that the MARQUEE brand gazebo is made by the very same company that makes the Oztrail brand.

  • Good price, assuming they are identical… They're on special (possibly permanent special?) at BCF for $199 - http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Oztrail-Deluxe-G…

    We've used them for years at dog shows which means they go up pretty much every weekend (and often twice) and even the lighter version (which was on sale for $149 or something a couple of weeks back - http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Oztrail-Standard…) has lasted us for years of abuse.

    Highly recommend, A+++, etc.

    • The $199 one from BCF is the deluxe version. Probably best to pay the extra $63 and get that one. We had a standard and a deluxe version in our camping group over the October long weekend… the deluxe is built better, and looks like it'll last longer.

      • I'm relatively confident this one is based on the Deluxe because you can see the horizontal supports in the photo. The Standard doesn't have the horizontal supports.

        In case that was just random advice to me, we have both. We use the Standard almost exclusively because it's far easier to cart around and setup but we do bust out the Deluxe whenever it's going to be super windy.

  • FYI, Kmart also has an easy up gazebo for about $70.
    Not sure about the quality compared to this one, but may be worth checking out.

  • Two (2) changes I'd make to these things - ie, if they don't already have the improvements as features or reasonably-priced options:

    1. make legs telescopic (so they could be set up at Adults' or Kids' height (Kids height would give kids extra protection against sunburn)

    2. add mozzie netting all 'round & maybe even add a connected / sealing floor tarp, to give mozzie protection.

  • New to Ozbargain - great deal I got via email for a Gazebo - 50% off

    Can someone post this?
