  • Hidden camera, hmmm….

    • Excelent tools for record paranormal activities…

  • i dont see how these can deter thieves

  • What other uses would a hidden camera in a clock placed by your bedside have?

    • +5

something starting with v and ending in oyeuristic

    • +2

Depends… if you are in the Navy….

    • +2

It's for filming intruders who might be sneaking around whilst you're having sex…..

It would make a sick gift.

  • My good mate Marc Osborn is a lesson to us all…

    • Just read that article, fair enough that he cops (sic) something for being underhanded, but what's eight the part about her complaining he had access to her house and children? Didn't she let him in?

  • Cute pretending its an anti-theft device… suspect it might fall foul of some law if alternatively marketed.

    • +1

I personally use these cameras while I am away even for 15mins.

Convenient story, what with you being the rep/owner of securitylab.com.au and all.

      • +1

Although I am curious… How would this have prevented your neighbour from being robbed?

        • +1

your neighbour live next to you all these time….

and he/she didn't even bought anything from your store(Securitylab)??

        • -2

He has said his "neighbour", not his next door neighbour. Which could mean anyone that lives in his suburb really.

Which doesn't make the story convenient after all. As there is robberies in every suburb everyday. Just worded it conveniently.

        • +2

So he's on a first-name basis with EVERYONE in his suburb, and knows them well enough that they will report any and all robberies to him, immediately?

          Cool story indeed.

        • seriously? most neighbourhoods once people have been there a whole if something like that happens the news gets round the neighbourhood pretty quickly, esp if there is neighbourhood watch. He didnt say he knew them, or if he did by what name, he could have even read it in the bloody paper.
what is it with some of you people trying to badger reps with irrelevant crap? DO we want to be known as too much trouble to bother with?

        • Not every suburb, try Killarney Heights

      • +1

I get robbed every time i go to Westfield as well.

  • The only clock camera with Super Night Vision/1080P and records while charging.
    On EBAY Price - $89

  • +2

…but what happens if they steal the clock? = LoL

  • Is there a reason why you keep advertising a certain shopping centre name?

    • just got a letter from my neighbor so mentioned Westfield as there are no other Shopping Malls in Hornsby:)

      • +1

My neighbours don't write me letters, we talk to each other instead.

        • he just warned everybody about the robbery as police informed him that there have been several similar ones during day time. The interesting thing is all robberies lasted 15-20mins.

        • +9

          …all robberies lasted 15-20mins.

they know this because there was a clock.

        • +1

I'm not sure why mentioning your neighbour's robbery has any relevance. It would only have relevance if he was using your clocks and caught the robber in the act, which doesn't sound to be the case, so why even mention it.

        • I've been selling these cameras for many months and people buy mostly against thefts.

        • +2

          so these clocks prevent thefts?

  • +1

The travel one might be handy. you could aim it at your locked bag when you are away from your room. and see if the cleaning staff look inside the bag

    • +1

      That's right!

    • Only if you're gone for 110 minutes or less.

      • +1

"dude, while we are stealing everything in this hotel room lets leave that travel clock on the bed side table"

  • +4

I've had three robberies on different occasions. Two of them were filmed. One of them clearly showed both perps, the other showed the car. Police weren't interested.
You might catch them in the act but don't expect the police to do a damn thing about it.

    • then the best solution is to get real time pictures and videos during robbery.
These 2 below cameras works as alarm system without WIFI or Internet connected - just insert Sim cards
and get real pictures and videos in real time as MMS or 3G real time video.

      http://www.securitylab.com.au/alarm-system-security/3g-home-…
      http://www.securitylab.com.au/alarm-system-security/alarm-sy…

      • So it's at that point you call the po po to tell them your GSM security alarm is going off because there is an intruder in your house, it then takes you 10 minutes to describe how you know they are in your house and how a GSM camera works and another 15-20 mins for someone to arrive.

I think by that time you would have been back from 'Westfield' :)

I think you are better off taking your jewelry with you or hiding it in the roof space, by the time they get up there you'll be back from 'Westfield' just in time to deal with them! Hahaha

        • Those 2 cameras has 2 way communication : once you get MMS or SMS - you can call and shout so they will think somebody at home and run away:)

        • +1

or they are so revved up on ice that they will want to fight the sh!t who is getting in the way of their B&E

  • +1

    This is getting fun..

  • I'm laughing like a maniac at work right now…

    Ahhh OzBargain.

Seriously though; having been robbed several times myself (but never having the forethought to mail my neighbours about it so they can recommend me Clock Cameras to deter future thefts), the police will do absolutely nothing about your run-of-the-mil handbag-snatching, so really the only value of low-end CCTV footage is to keep an eye on how attractive your property to crims (you'll probably catch more attempted burglaries) and their preferred methods of pilfering your valuables (so you can install something more robust to prevent them jimmying open your window or something).

Hell I personally know Liquor Store/Pawn Shop owners who have been robbed by armed thieves and have had tens of thousands of dollars in cash or valuables taken and their CCTV footage was either ruled inadmissible in court/insufficient evidence or not even taken by the police.

  • +1

He was away for 15mins at Westfield.

Strange. It takes me 15 minutes just to find a parking spot at my local Westfield

  • +2

When I come back home at 3am on Saturday Nights now, my only response to my wife will be… I was probably at "Westfield".

  • +1

Guys, girls, whatever….thank you all for making me laugh so much….(no I'm not gunna start a new thread) This is the funniest and best rapport I've had all day. Is it OK if I say I am pissing myself laughing?

  • how many hours recording?

    • with 32GB card it can record up to 10 hours.

  • +4
