Next Cheapest is $65 at MSY, good discount for anyone who wants/needs one of these!

From JB -
"Touch freely on the silky-smooth, large touchscreen-like surface. Quickly scroll through your favorite web pages, pinch-to-zoom in on your family photos, and much more. Give it one touch—immediately feel the genius of touch navigation.

The large, smooth, glass surface gives your fingers the freedom to perform up to 13 unique Windows 8 gestures. With embedded precision sensors and resistance to fingerprints and scratches, built-in touchpads simply can’t touch this.

  • I've never heard or seen this kinda device….the closest thing I knew is the warcom style tablets! :)

    • Apple make one too.

Would buy this if it works on both Mac and PC. Interestingly they make T650 for Windows and T651 for Mac and there is no cross-compatibility….

Using PC @work and Mac @home…

    Good deal though! Thanks

    • That's interesting, thanks. Was gonna suggest this to a friend who uses Macs but is partial to black.

  • WOW, I was just looking for such touchpad to release my hand off the mouse. Got one for pickup.
    THX OP

  • Had looked at these previously and thought they were too expensive, picking up today :)

    • Or not, waiting on the JB email to tell me it's ready to pick up :(

And I find the YouTube reviews the best way to see how it works.

  • Amazing, I was literally about to go to MSY to get one of these!

  • What benefits does this device offer over a mouse on a desktop PC?

  • What advantages are there with one of these than something like Logiebear K400R with touch pad and keyboard?

    Curious about functions. No snark.

    • Use macbook air touch pad then use a cheap laptop touch pad and there's your answer. Glass vs plastic

    • It has many more gesture functions (including middle button with 3 fingers) and about 4x the surface area.

  • How do these compare with the apple magic trackpad?

  • Bought one for $60 a few weeks back.
    40 is a good price.

    Fun to use!

  • Just ordered one thanks OP.

  • Mouse - ideal for a laptop

Trackpad - ideal for a desktop as you need a flat, sturdy base to left and right click.

Haven't encountered a pc equivalent of a Apple magic trackpad yet in terms of gestures and feel. Not a bad price though to see if it's worth your while.

Officeword pricematch make it little bit more cheaper…

  • Good deal, just grabbed one. Thanks.

  • Does it works on XP?

    • I was also wondering what sort gestures would you get with Windows 7. "up to 13 unique Windows 8 gestures" is all nice, but I'm already hating Windows 8 on my laptop enough and certainly won't install it on my desktop PC. Does anyone know if this thing comes with some sort of software that could be used to set up and adjust functions/gestures under Win 7?

      • You will hate Windows 8 a lot less if you install Start Is Back / Classic Start..

      • Google it, lots of win 7 users comment that they love it as the setpoint software allows good customisation.

I just walked in store and bought one at that price. Awesome deal. JB @ Adelaide st Brisbane. Only 2 left.

The device feels nice to use. Just plug it in and away you go.

  • Would be a great tool for keyboard-less HTPC inside my Home Theater. Use the on-screen keyboard instead.

Got it price matched at OW, you can find the item here:

    http://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers/accessories/logitech/

Where it still shows $39 - just make sure the OW person doesn't click on 'buy online' or else it will show that it is expired (online). As per the post above, it seems to still be available in store. My nearest JB didn't have stock, which is why I had to go to OW. Thanks OP!

  • The price is pretty low.
I bought one last month at Binglee, cost me $89, as twice as much.
I thought I would love using it since I am using Windows 8.
Turns out it is still not as useful as mouse, not even close.
Easy to setup, but I barely use it for anything at all.
I guess you probably will find it is useful, if you connect your PC to TV, then you can use this to control your PC/TV while sitting on a sofa where you can't use your mouse propably.

  • Got a txt message from JBHifi Broadway:
JB HI-FI BROADWAY; Your order has been delayed. We will notify you when it arrives. RE: YOUR ITEM IS BEING SENT TO BROADWAY FROM ANOTHER STORE. - DO NOT REPLY

I was hoping to get it before weekend…

  • I got two price matched at Officeworks. These babies work on Windows XP. Just use the XP version of Setpoint. Just don't understand why Logitec does not indicate so on the box.

  • i am still waiting for mine…….
