  • The suitcase alone probably costs $150, awesome!

edit: hah didn't read the last line of your deal.

    • +1

Retails for around $200 but in any case if you wanted that suitcase (cabin luggage size) this is a great way to get it.

      • +1

The inova is an awful discontinued suitcase. It looks nice and I actually owned one for 24 hours when I used to sell luggage but luckily the next day a Samsonite rep actually came in to my store and I asked him about it and he said to avoid it. Same goes for the Skywheeler.

If you cant afford the cosmolite or firelite, stick with a moderately priced Antler.

        • +2

cubelite is better than cosmolite and firelite, having a double- not single-strutted handle :)

inova though looks best => red dot design award

cosmolite is lightest at 1.8kg vs firelite 1.9kg, cubelite 2.2kg, inova 2.55kg

airline carry-on baggage allowance is 7kg

          http://www.samsoniteaustralia.com/bag-finder/travel-hardside…

        • Cubelite is more expensive, heavier, and good luck finding it (compared to firelite and cosmolite).

After buying some firelites I don't personally think the inova looks as good.. but the curv material (fire/cosmo/cube only) does suck you in once you realise what it can do.

  • Might want to add in that it's 1 per address/household.

  • pretty good deal

  • Condition states "from participating vintage cellars stores". Which ones?

  • " A Participating Retailer is any participating Vintage Cellars store in Australia. Claimants must obtain a purchase receipt (Receipt) with their purchase; this is required when ordering a Suitcase (see below)." Doesn't seem to help at all =D

  • Great deal!

No more stock at Vintage Cellars Stanmore, NSW.

  • Need beer and a suitcase that size! Cheers OP

  • +1

Oh, and GMAIL binned the claim confirmation emails, so check your spam folder for them…

    • +2

      • So after using the contact form on the website, I finaly got a reply with the PDF emailed to me (inbox)

  • Thanks OP. Picked mine up just now from VC Donvale. Stock is disappearing out the door and out back fast though.

  • 2 slabs for $98 at Vintage Cellars Melbourne (City)

  • Does it have to be from VC? No store in Wollongong.

  • $98 in Dalkeith, WA. Only a couple of cartons left. Make sure to keep your original receipt - you have to mail it off.

  • Where does it tell you how many are left?

    • When you go to the claim page. Currently 786 as of 7:28pmEST

I prefer to to think of the deal this way ' buy 1x suitcase for $124, get 2 cases of beer free!!'

  • Great Post, just picked up 2 cases for $98 and Terrigal (they had about 12 cases left)

Submitted and will post the receipt tomorrow

  • +2

If you they dont have stock you can pay for it and get the receipt and pick up the beer later, last 5 digits of the barcode is 02470,21885 or just go to some other shop and write it down barcode are all the same

  • Is the Asahi from VC brewed in Japan?

    • +1

I believe Australia only gets the bottles brewed from Thailand, I believe the cans are brewed in Japan though.

      • +1

i was wondering why asahi was getting so cheap (it is usually around $40 in dan murphys these days) so i had a look…. and it's brewed in china.

    • No. Brewed in Thailand.

    • Actually, the 2 cases I just picked up from the Melbourne store are brewed in Beijing China

      • Interesting - mine picked up on Thursday are brewed at Pathumthani Brewery Thailand.

    Thanks OP.

  • THanks OP!

  • +1

Reminds me of the Absolut deal last year which bundled bonus American Tourister luggage.

Preferred that one, asahi is not my thing.

  • Thanks OP - 735 left as of now

  • 694 left as of 10:24pm.

Looks like my 2 cases are brewed in China!!. WTF!!.

  • Could I price match with Dan murphy and still get the deal? since they are selling for 41.80 per case while vintage cellar are selling for 50 each…

    • You need a vintage cellars receipt.

      • price match at vintage cellar for 41.80 per case, but getting 2 cases (83.60) on one receipt from vintage cellar instead of 100..

        • vc don't pm afaik :(

        • just went to vintage cellar. they said they do price match, but not on beer.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Bought 2 cases from hunter hills last night. Plenty stocks as of 8.50pm last nite.

by the way, after you paid the freight, they mentioned that they will email the claim form to my email but I haven't receive it yet. Checked junk folder, not there either. Anyone has the same problem?

    • Yeah, I had the same problem. I ended up taking a screenshot of the form

      • same still waiting

        • I dropped them an email via the contact us, still waiting for their response.

        • same same

        • Hi all,
Finally received their response with attached form.

  • Thanks OP. Bought 2 at VC Ashburton VIC. A couple of slabs left if anyone interested.

  • VC Balaclava VIC have stock, willing to hold it over the phone too. If it's not unique, maybe someone with the claim form could upload? The conspiracist in me feels a delay today leaves one business-day to claim lowering the redemption rate..

  • No stock in Abbotsford, paid anyway to get the receipt number. I wonder if I get the suitcase sooner than the beer? :o0

    • ^Abbotsford NSW, FYI. (there's 3 Abbotsfords in Australia, so it's best to specify)

      • Yeah, but it is the only Abbotsford in Australia which has Vintage Cellars. But fair point.

  • Guys, the form they email you is exactly the same as the PDF you can download after you submit your application. It's the "ASAHI SUPER DRY SAMSONITE OFFER FORM" and contains all output of all the details you entered into the online form.

    • Yes but for those who can't print or save the PDF at that time, they said they will email it to us.

    • I think you can log in and see. I log in to see mine and the status said "CLEAR"

can somebody confirm the last 5 digits of asahi carton barcode?

    • +1

      02470

  • +1

578 left at 12:20pm AEST Friday.

Brighton East VC still had the beer an hour ago.

Worth noting that this suitcase is 10cm over the Virgin domestic limit of 105cm. Only just over (and unless you're way oversize or there's no overhead space Virgin aren't going to knock you back).

    (thanks OP)

    • What are you talking about? 105cm? Isn't the tallest height dimension of this suitcase 55cm?

      • The 105cm is calculated by adding the height, width and depth. 55cm + 40cm + 20cm = 115cm

  • daft question, could someone please confirm is the "vintage cellars purchase receipt number" the number under the barcode at the bottom of the VC tax invoice? i paid with cc if that matters..

    thanks

    derr yes it is

    • That's right, it's the barcode number at the bottom of tax invoice - you can check on the help icon when fill up the form

  • Port Melbourne 1 case left.

  • fyi those in melbourne are saving $44.60 compared to waiting for the next samsonite warehouse sale :)

    this deal: asahi $98 + case $26 = $124

    alternative: dan murphy's $83.60 + aerial $85 = $168.60

    http://www.luggagegear.com.au/samsonite/4843-spinner-55cm-bl…

    • Unfortunately, the product you have selected is no longer available.

    • alternative: dan murphy's $83.60 + aerial $85 + QUEUING FOR THREE HOURS = NO THANKS.

      • +1

QUEUING FOR THREE HOURS = NO THANKS.

        fair enough :)

  • Is there anyone who wants the beer only? I'll go halvsies on the beer if I can get the suitcase.

  • No stock at Oak's Estate.
346 suitcases left to claim at the website. Will no doubt be all gone by tomorrow, if not later tonight.

    • There were around 430 left when I checked at 1630 (AEDT) so I reckon you're right.

  • The problem isn't getting your claim in time atm, it's finding 2 cases of beer for sale in a Vintage Cellars. It will probably be gone tonight or early tomorrow, but the first step is already quite difficult.

  • So…….anyone in vic that wants the beer for $80?

    • +1

$41.80 a slab at dan's (and probably not brewed in china)…i doubt you'll have any takers mate.

$30 a slab, yeah, i would probably take them from you, but no way in hell $40. you're dreaming.

      but, hey, good luck.

        • +1

          ok cool, fair enough.

still, why would i pay $80 for two slabs, when i can just go to dan's and buy them for $41.80 when i need them? do you really think people will be happy to save $1.80 on a slab, while you get a $349 suitcase for $44?

but it's all good…as i said, good luck.

        • Alright…didn't know Dan was selling it for that price

          new price $70 for both

  • +1

anyone in perth wants to buy both for $80?

  • +1

Well I had someone offer me $60 for both, don't know what to do, on one hand as mentioned it is a fair deal, considering that Dan murphy sell them for around $40 a case, but the cheapskate in me wants $70 at least. What to do…

    • +1

Fellow ozbargainer, charge them $60. Non ozbargainer, charge them $70. :)

  • Anyone in Melbourne want 2 cartons for $65? I'm located in caulfield south or will deliver anywhere within a 10km radium for another tenner (:

    • oh by the way, 6 cases left at Malvern VIC at 1pm

  • Thanks OP. I just claimed mine.

95 left. About 45 minutes ago, it was 109.

4 cases available at Claremont Quarter.

  • Just 90 left now! Got mine from Kew, Vic - no dearth of stock.

  • 81 left

  • Plenty of cases left at Shenton Park WA…over a pallet to be precise
