  • Good deal. Does anyone actually use firewire nowadays? The external hdd is almost a deal itself apart from the limited quantity.

    • Probably why they're so cheap. Shifting them for 50c beats binning them! I used to have an old Ipod dock that used firewire, but that ipod is superceded!

  • those are non-powered 4 pin fW 400 which is a very old type of firewire.
some people still use the FW800 (or newer thunderbolt) for chaining their mac :)

  • From the photo, they seem to use the small firewire connector (like a mini version of the FW800 connector) that appeared on some PCs. I have one on an old Dell laptop. As far as I know, those connectors were not used on Macs.

  • Awesome Bargain! Mr Deals! Thanks OP!

  • Might buy it just to plug it into the ports on my laptop/PC as they are full of dust

It is cheap, but problem is I need to get the firewire device after.
