Received a mail from Snowgum - Closing down sale - 70% off everything.

"Our Rouse Hill store (NSW) must close this Sunday 27th October, but before we go we have loads of stock that we MUST clear…"

  any examples of bargains to be had? with closing down stores i find the usual steps are something like, 1) they transfer good stuff to other stores 2) employees buy whatever decent items are left and 3)open doors to public for last time

    Sorry morpheu, haven't visited the store yet, but I agree with you on 2 and 3. Sometimes, in spite of all that, you do get great stuff at a good price.

  Hi Just rang them and they told me they have a range of stock but not massive. Online they already have sale on 50-80% off. If someone goes to the store can they please give a report back. I cant get there until tomorrow afternoon (after all the ozbargainers have hit the place!).

  Was snowgum the mob who advertised a voucher on ozbargain a little while back…then cancelled orders of anyone who found items on their website where the cost was covered by the voucher?

    This seems to be where things got out of hand.

    Not quite sure of the whole story, but there's a few long-term OB bods blowing their top.

    EDIT: Oh i see. This was the response of Snowgum, prompted in part by this kind of behaviour.
