I'd be cautious recommending this for Voda. Voda has a fairly large amount of regional 900 MHz 3G and rents a lot from Optus as well; this phone would not be able to connect to that part of the network.
This phone is really only ideal for Telstra and their resellers.

  • Terrible phone with too much glare on the screen

  • If you don't need this ones dual-SIM capabilities then the $99 Telstra Y300 is a better deal. Similar hardware but bigger battery with far better custom ROM support at modaco.com. Can be unlocked for $5 by bagman. So overall cheaper price too.

Was as low as $69 (with purchase of $30 recharge) recently.

    • Will that one work with Optus though?

  • I bought one of these about 4 weeks ago but took it back - the viewing angle of the screen was not a patch on my Huawei G300+. The viewing angle from most directions was very narrow with a lot of white bleed through to what should have been a black screen. A shame really as it seemed to really suit what I needed it for, that is a dual sim phone. On that note, only one sim is 3G, the other is not. Another limitation.
