    At first I thought it must be 18000mah. At 1800 it wouldn't boost my note 3 much.

    Also: Beware as reviews are bad.

      • It looks nice but the output on amps is 1-1.5.

        I recently bought one with a dual usb and an output of 2amp for $22 including delivery. it was 12000mah though but combined with a quality cable, charged my note 2 a few times.

        I must say though, your one looks great.

    • Also: Beware as reviews are bad.

      WHERE are the bad reviews? Link please.

      • http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/112486

        few people made exception to Output: 5V DC, 800mA max

        • few people made exception to Output: 5V DC, 800mA max

          What's that got to do with anything?

          There's no reviews in that link.

          All I can see in that thread is ignorant people not understanding the difference between Capacity (1800mAh) and charging rate (800mA)

          Those are not REVIEWS - that's a negging frenzy for no reason whatsoever. None of the people in that thread even own the device.

    Bargain - these are about $40 or so retail price.
    $49 at Target http://shop.target.com.au/p/varta-v-man-power-pack/P51850753

    Prices including delivery to Sydney…
    1 = $7.32 P&H = $17.27 each
    2 = $7.32 P&H = $13.87 each
    3 = $8.36 P&H = $12.87 each
    4 = $8.88 P&H = $12.17 each
    5 = $9.40 P&H = $11.83 each

    Ordered 5 - That's my nephew's Christmas presents solved!

    Hmmm… might Brogan them and sell on eBay (where they are $28) ROFL [joke]

    • might Brogan them

      Who is Brogan? Broden's cousin?
      Or a combination of Bogan & Broden? :P

      • Now thats a new scary kind of beast!

      • Bugger - typo of Broden

        Now that you have replied I cannot edit it and hide the evidence.

  • I have one of these and the battery capacity is low.

    Particularly for the iPhone 5, you need to use the included USB connector, along with a lightning cable (not included) to get the charge started.

    Sorry, no power bank deal can beat the jbhifi's sony power bank deal.

    • +1

      Yeah… that deal is nice, but nobody has received the Sony ones yet have they?

  • Amazon reviews on these were poor so I steered clear last time they were this price. Maybe on the better side in the $10 category but better off spending some coin if you're buying this for emergencies.

    Alternatives?

    Delivery included:
    emergency charger
    $8.27 http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10002784/1207400-enb-2186…
    +
    2x Sanyo 2600mAh 18650 cells
    $9.94 http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10001901/1136603-authenti…
    ~~
    USD $18.21 (about $20 Australian) ….for 5200mAh capacity in total (almost 3 times the capacity offered here)

    Advantages

    • quality cells (Sanyo…or Panasonic or others of your choosing…) with almost 3 times the capacity on offer here (when using 2 cells), and exceeding it when just using one.
    • removable cells (can be used in other devices that take 18650 cells or used in other emergency battery chargers of your choosing in future)
    • can take higher capacity cells of your choosing for a few bucks more (or cheaper ones for less)
    • has 2 USB ports
    • delivery costs included
    • don't have to deal with CatchOfTheDay service…

    Those interested in 3 cells could consider 3-cell emergency chargers (that can also work with 1 or just 2 batteries). Some prices with 3 quality cells included:
    USD 23.54 delivered http://www.fasttech.com/products/1421/10002784/1381308 (7800 mAh capacity)
    or
    USD 27.06 delivered http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10002784/1381306-enb-enb-… (9300 mAh capacity)
    or
    USD 30.67 delivered http://www.fasttech.com/products/1421/10002784/1381300 (10020mAh capacity)

    You can get these chargers without batteries included too. You can choose to put just 1 or 2 batteries in there. Even placing ONE battery in here will be cheaper and offer more capacity than this deal here (which is just 1800 mAh), so you don't have to buy 3 batteries bundled to match or exceed the capacity on offer here.

    I haven't tried the model listed here (and it's fairly cheap if you don't really take notice of what you're getting) but…for a few dollars more with guaranteed quality cells (with far, far more capacity) and included delivery, I don't regard this deal as particularly worthwhile (sending one unit to my address is $17.27 for a low-spec charger)

    • How quickly do these guys ship? (I just purchased a 14500 battery from cnqualitygoods for my Cree Q5).

      Great price on the protected NiteCore batteries.

      This is the first seller I've seen with genuine TrustFire brand batteries too (based on picture).

      • How quickly do these guys ship?

        It varies. One big order I had to wait 5 working days. One small order (1 item) they shipped next day. Website keeps you informed. Email responses (tickets) are responded to, but you need to wait 24-48 hours, usually. Probably not good if you expect things at a certain time/date, in general. Judging from my order numbers, they do brisk trade..

      • Very slowly. I've bought something via the slowest shipping method on 24/09, still hasn't arrived. Bought something else on 14/10 via the 2nd shipping option and it just shipped out of HK today.

    • Thanks for this thorough post. It says that it can be "recharged via micro USB port" just to clarify, this means I can charge the batteries back using this as the charger? Do you know what sort of cable and adapter you would need, eg, could I just use any usb to microusb cable and a usb wall charger?

      • Yes. USB wall charger charge speeds will vary, depending on the output. Technically the lower the charge the longer the battery life (in years)?

      • eg, could I just use any usb to microusb cable and a usb wall charger?

        Yep.

    • Looks like a very good option, but I'm afraid that charging 18650 batteries through usb can be really slow, right? Besides that, has anyone bought that kind of batteries from overseas? Seems like delivery may be rejected http://support.fasttech.com/faq/what-items-are-restricted-or….
      I've a lot of AA Sanyo batteries and it could be great to use this kind of portable charger.

    • My understanding is that Fasttech won't ship Lithium Batteries to Australia.

      There were comments on some other threads here, plus I think a warning pops up when you try to go through checkout and pay.

      • Yep the courier wouldnt take the order. both Singaporean and HK mail
