  • Bought one from Masters (AC powered, with grilling racks and adjustable rotisserie position). Couldn't get it hot enough with coals for it to cook through a large chicken. Needs a cover, I think.

  • I saw just the rotisserie without bbq unit at Woolies for $20 (Ac powered) a couple of weeks back. Said it fits all bbqs.

  • Goes well with the $4.50 hotbeads @ Woolies this week.

Secret to this is use plenty of coals & put something under the coals grate to raise it about 5-8cm. For fat dripping chooks, move the coals so that stack up the side, rather then the middle & put a foil tray so it tilts up the other side, but also catches the fat dripping down as it spins. The tray catches the dripping fat as the chook spins down, the coals on the other side cooks it. The chook needs to be about 75 deg in the middle to be cooked. If you put the foil tray on top of the coals you'll never get enough heat to cook it.

  • They were $50 when they came in the latest catalogue, but its still a good deal. Anyone seen them at any of the Melbourne northern suburbs aldi stores on sale?
