    Worth mentioning "Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 3.5" 2TB 64MB 7200RPM"

This is not cheap at all, internal 2TB drives are always around this price

I would just get a USB3 external anyway,

Agree many places around $95 for this drive. Shipping kills the deal for me.

  • Aren't these the drives with major head-parking problems? Click, click. Can be solved in Win7 with HDDscan or CrystalDiskInfo, but no firmware fix that I am aware of. Only just got the head-parking firmware fix for the 3Tb a few months ago.

  • Any chance you could offer free shipping on this op?

    How is this deal awesome?

I can just buy a 3TB external drive for 99$ free shipping and open it up and use it as a backup.

    No deal!

Reps should seriously actually check on previous deals and match them instead of trying to rip honest ozbargainers off!

OP, FYI this is OzBargain not YellowPages. Advertise elsewhere if you ain't got a deal.

  • For this specific HDD, which some people might actually want - for example matching drives in a NAS - it is actually a slight deal UNTIL you add shipping. MSY sells this HDD for $95, so $90 is a good price. $90+shipping not so much.

Saying something stupid like "I could buy a external and rip it open and use that instead" helps noone and isn't a valid criticism. For this particular HDD, $90 is a good price. Once you add shipping it's not.

$90 is around the average price. $70-80 would be a good price, or $90 with free shipping.

I'd still rather just go to MSY and pay $5 more as the store is closer and the staff don't smell of lynx.

      • Yeah like I said - once you add shipping it's not a good price.

      • $90 is around the average price

Erm… no….. There are no prices of $90…. the nearest is around $95, not including shipping.
        Average price is around $110

hello and welcome to OzHardlyCheaperThanEverywhereElse, how may i help you today?

as said before, over $100 delivered for only 2tb? i realise the difference between these and the externals that we have been buying for ~$70 mark for years now but still this just isnt a postworthy deal.

    take your spamvertising elsewhere

I don't understand. MSY is $95, PCCG is $99 for this same drive.

If this is cheaper than both of them, then why is it not a deal? I'm sure if you wanted a 2TB drive SHIPPED, this would still be a good deal as no other retailer ships free, afaik.
