At this price range, isn't the proper x86 cpu based server a better option? 4 bays, display port, 3 PCIe slots, 6 usb ports…yeah I know ReadyNAS 104 will consume slightly less power, but still…

    Anyway, good find though.

    • The link goes to main page. What product are you talking about.

  • Would love to see more 6 and 8 bay NAS deals on OzBargain instead of all the 2 and 4 bays.

Read: 4 bays is not enough for some.

    • Buy a PC, and put one of the open-source storage distros on it.

      • I already have a massive file server, there is a reason I want a neat and tidy 8 bay NAS box.

  • +2

Save your money and get a synology. i have both and the Netgear is near useless in comparison

    • I wanted to ask how is it compare to Synology, but you just answered it. I am using Synology and happy with it. I guess I will stick with Synology.

      • is this a distro or a product? im thinking of a new OS for my N40L

    • Something like?
Synology DS213J Budget Series 2 bay NAS

Do they come with drives? Appears not.

I'm in the market for one, just need it for redundancy. Don't care about super fast speed etc.

  • I bought this a long time ago…..
    I just love it
