Connect an HD monitor via the HDMI port and share a presentation with a client, or just watch your favourite video in your hotel room. Tired of typing on a tiny virtual keyboard? With three built-in USB ports you can connect a full-sized keyboard, USB mouse and an external storage drive – all at the same time – and convert your Galaxy in to a mini desktop computer. You can even connect you Samsung Galaxy Note II to your home theatre via the 3.5mm stereo connector for an immersive audio experience.
Stay Connected, Even without Wi-Fi Laptop computers are great, but relying on a public Wi-Fi connection is a risky proposition when traveling. Take advantage of your smartphone’s wireless data plan and stay connected in any situation, without loss of productivity due to limited screen size or the inability to access files on a remote storage drive. The Samsung Galaxy Note II Smart Dock will even charge your mobile phone while in use

Probably would have full compatibility with the Note III also, and many other phones

Officially only the Note 2 is supported. Unofficially it supports the Galaxy S4 as well as per the USA website.

On the Australian website only the Note 2 is listed as compatible. So we would recommend to purchase for the Note 2 only.

      • Would certainly help increase your potential mkt size if you tested even with phones from people that work at your place where the usb connector is middle bottom of phone. For examples HTC One? LG and other Samsungs?

I would expect it to work?

Unfortunately we cannot advertise this product for other models it is not meant to officially work with. We have tested it various phones and the results are mixed. As dishak has mentioned it is a bit of touch and go and hence would not recommend it for other phones.

      • The S3, S4 and Note 3 are also supported through this model. In fact the "official" dock for the Note 3 basically refers back to this model.

Rep: This place in Glebe is doing it for $40. My friends and I want to buy 3 for our Note 3's that we recently bought. Can you price match them for a pickup? (I am based in Homebush).

        Thanks

picked up one of these from the Hurstville Telstra shop for $35 last week, they were on clearance down from $79. Works ok with my Note 3, charging is fine, but sometimes the HDMI cant pick it up, just reconnect a couple of times and its works.

so this deal deserves a Neg if you can pick one up from Telstra shop (which is also infamous for what they like to charge customers, most of time)?

Hopefully it wont take as long as last time

None of our orders were delivered or took long. All confirmed orders were in the mail within 24 hours. It went out of stock and we expected to get more stock to recreate a deal sooner than expected which did not materialise till now.
So the deal is on very much till we have stock. And we have tried to get more stock this time around.

  • Hi OP,

Do you know what is the highest version of MHL supported by the device?

This would be useful to know for those with a S4.

I have a SPIGEN slim case - anyone know if the Note 2 will dock with the case on?

EDIT: went ahead and bought one. Indications are that it allows a case.
