      Hi jv,

      They are using MLC NAND chipset(similarly used on Samsung 840 Pro while Samsung Evo uses TLC), and have the similar controller as Corsair Neutron Series, priced much higher than them atm.

      In terms of reliability - MLC is better than TLC, or at least cost more to manufacture.

      Samsung Evos are great SSDs, but Seagate SSDs will more likely offer longer life span, claiming to be able to offer up to 40GB of writes per day for 240GB and 20GB of writes per day for 120GB throughout it's 3 year warranty period.

      Simply put - it offers great durability, does well in heavy workloads while pricing below SSDs with similar read/write performance such as SanDisk Extreme II & Samsung 840 Pros.

        Hello, I'm a little confused these specifications you have listed are different to the ones on your actual page… for example for the Seagate 600 Series 120GB your website says 500 Read and 300 Write - you have written that it's 400 write here - a little confusing - could you please clarify which has the correct write speeds.

      Hi LurvinOZB,

      The Lenovo X300 uses 1.8" form factor, so this will not fit onto the same slot you used for the original SSD. Only way to get around is fitting it onto the optical drive slot by buying a 5.25" SSD optical bay (try ebay, keyword: ssd optical bay)

          Should have no issues getting it in, but due to this SSD is 7mm in thickness, you might need to source a 9mm bracket, or use similar method as above suggested (5.25" ssd optical bay).
