 - 21:9 doesn't sound ideal for everyday use unless you're always tiling 2 windows. How are fill screen games on this thing? - I read researches and web pages mostly, so, this size is always ideal for me when not using the iMac 27

 - Not really anything higher than 1080p just wide
 - Yeah, This isn't high res. The ppi would be the same as a 23" 1920 1080. - High res would be 2560x1440p with a 16:9 ratio. - Ye but not everyone wants to spend $800 on a graphics card - R9 290 should be able to handle it
 That's $500 :) - you can barely get 40 frames with a 280x in BF4 @ 1440p lol, 1080p IPS would be ideal, better value, http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/aoc-i2757fh-27-inch-ip…
 - I said 290…
280x would be the same 7970..?
 - and $430 for a 1440p monitor, no thanks jeff

 - I prefer the Kogan 27" for $439 (sometimes on sale for $399)

 - I prefer the Dell 29" U2913WM. Same resolution, but with Dell's 3 year warranty and zero dead-pixel warranty. - $649 at full price, it is often 20% cheaper when on sale ($519). - And if I were a gambling man, I'd go for this:
 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-27-New-Crossover-27QW-IPS-LED…
27" Crossover 2560x1440 display for $332 delivered. - +1 for the Crossover. I'm happy with my 30" 2560x1600. - Unfortunately I have a laptop with a mini-display port. The Crossover above only has a dual-link DVI input and would require an active (powered) mini-DP to dual-link DVI converter. The converter itself is quite costly at $100+. - The Kogan panel comes with a good array of inputs and also cables.

 - "you never want to come back to ordinarly screens" - The trouble is that whatever improvement you attain becomes the new ordinary.
 - Recommend to go for 2560x1440 or 2560x1600 - bjonbjonbjon, is that a question or are you stating your preference? - Stating their pref.
It is a bit of a strange Resolution tbh..
 Usually it's 1920 x 1200, it's really strange that instead of 1920 x 1080, they upped the 1920..
 - stating, 2560x1080 is a weird reso. Could be great for office task i guess, snapping 2 documents on each sides. Other than that I can't think of any use that is better than the 2 resolutions I recommended.
