Because just about every brand shit on Acer, that is why.
And lenovo is on par with Asus and was much love on ozbargain(scotty know this) until the nolove incident.
Lenovo product arguably some of the most durable laptops. They also have laptops with arguably the best keyboards.
Sure they may not be the cheapest all the time, but their market is different to the likes of Asus. Its like comparing porsche to a fiat, coke to homebrand, hugo boss to target, Samsung to Huawei etc. They're not of the same league.
Sure, they're last deal was a disaster and was not good PR. But it shouldn't discount their superior product, even if many may view the premium as "not worth it".
I believe IBM laptops were actually better before the department was bought out by Lenovo
