Call me a cynic, but I wonder if you have diabetes/retinopathy they will flag this in their records so it is harder to get insurance with them in the future?
Wouldn't think so. Health insurance companies can't pick and choose their customers; though you'd probably be excluded from claiming for these pre-existing ailments for a fixed period if you joined up with them.
Good point, I think I was getting confused with income protection insurance.
isnt this covered by medicare with ur doc/optometrist (sp?)
