110

The cheapest I've ever seen these. Don't know if you can buy PoE IP cameras for under $100 anywhere.

  • Note you only need the master system if you need the Ethernet over power adapters. Otherwise these work fine as stand alone PoE IP cameras.

  • Yes best price around ATM, I believe JB have had them for 50% off in the past 12 months around $80. But I have not seen the Alert range this cheap in many months!

the outdoor ones are still expensive though…

This sale has already being posted here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/122669

even though they didn't mention the 40% off logitech security…

Can these be used without the master system ???

    • You don't need a master, just a POE switch.

  • These camera's also work fine with third party software (I use blue iris). You just need to reserve an IP address by binding the MAC address in your network setup.

The standard Alert software now allows up to a maximum of 16 camera's after the most recent update to the software, up from the previous maximum of 6.

  • It allows PC-free recording with microSD but I also read it can do cloud recording too yea?

  • Good price. I got one before when they were on special at logitechshop for $119 6 months ago, so this is an excellent price. Note that the 700i does not have night vision but the 700e does.

  • How do these compare to the Foscam FI8910E which is only $2.75 more after delivery?

Seems to me the Foscam is a better deal, includes pan/tilt, IR to 8m? Unless I'm missing something?

I have a FOSCAM and they are great for the price, the pan/tilt works really work on any software I've used (Zoneminder & Android mostly).

    • Foscam is 640x480. The logitech is 720p HD

  • Off Topi: But these are much better value, and can be used outdoor. I have 5 at work and they are super crystal clear.

Free shipping (5 days) if you order two.

Anyways, back to our original programming….

  • So to install these around the house… what all do I need?
The house has wifi. Does it connect via Wifi or does it require an ethernet wire to the router?

probably better than a canon camera

    • Yeah Mr Nikon, how was your day? Are you sorting out how to import the beer from Dan Murphy's still? :)

      • cool, your day was that meaningless you had to go through my comments :D

        • +1

If there is beer…and bacon….then you will definitely find me. I tracked down beer amongst the hundreds of other deals in the website…I definitely wouldn't call that an unproductive or meaningless day. :)

        • hahaaha fair enough

  • Is this POE (as in 802.eaf) or HomePlug/Poweline-AV?

Some of the comments here indicate the former, but the specs seem to refer to the latter…

    • Both but if you want to use Ethernet over power you need one of the cameras to be a "master system".
