Just bought this speaker from Dick Smith, with price of $109 it's pretty standard, but throwing in a mini bluetooth speaker its quite a good deal.
Ebay retails BTM 8 around $80 and BTV5 retails around $50, so overall still the best deal I can find online.

I purchased this at DSE a few months ago for $99 without the speaker which I think was a great price. Sound quality is great and it looks good too. Note this speaker does not have an inbuilt battery, so you'll need to have it either connected to mains power, or use your DSE eneloops in it ;)

You mean the TDK A73? The TDK unit is bigger and heavier and more powerful. It would blow this one out of the water.

No nfc on the tdk is this first thing that came to mind
NFC is kinda cool but after you pair once it's pretty quick and easy with most BT devices
i have one of these - it came free with my xperia z - i dont think the sound quality it that great and wouldnt recommend it
Arent the speakers only 2 watts each in power? Cant really expect much output from such a smaller speaker.
Once again Dick Smith failed to deliver what they promised. I bought this speaker and it comes today with only the BMT8. Phoned customer service and after a 10 minutes wait their answer is that they will check if my order is correct. Feel like I've been scammed.
Most likely coming from different warehouses. Make sure CS confirm that's the case.
Tried out last night at home, the sound quality is pretty good too. Able to fill the living room with decent volume, and I can crank to max volume with no distortion.
