  • Hi SE,
Can you do better for Asus Dual band Wireless-N600 Range Extender RP-N53 instead, please?

    • Don't have stock of those atm, but will check it out later for potential deals although i am almost certain you probably won't reach anywhere near Netgear's current EPIC price.

      regards
      SE

      • oh sorry. My bad. When you see these pop up you assume they are happening immediately.

      • You know your server might crash at 8pm on Sunday :p

        • +2

Our server had not crashed even once in our Epic deals over this few years, so i wished to see it happen :P.

  • We are expecting the new stock of HD 7970 arriving this late afternoon or early next week, so dispatch on these will start on Early Next week.
We are only able to allocate 20 pieces for this price.

      Thanks for the explanation.
Couldn't you have posted the deal up when the stock actually arrives?

  • You may want to adjust your wording re: "This Sapphire HD 7970 OC Video Card is still part of our PC Parts Sale so as long as you purchase another item, you will able to enjoy the "Buy 2 or More Free Shipping" promotion for it. - I know you mean it'll still qualify tomorrow when this deal kicks in, but it makes it sound like you've got this card in stock to buy right now.

Otherwise you've going to get a lot of "says out of stock!!!" messages :-)

Meanwhile I was miffed at missing out yesterday, so I'll have my finger poised and ready to go tomorrow, thanks for the 2nd chance!

    • Tomorrow is Saturday. The deal is on Sunday

      • And the PC parts sale end on tomorrow, so how could you get "Buy 2 or More Free Shipping" promotion for it"?

        • We've extended to Sunday - will revised the banner :)

  • Also note the previous deal has added GTX 760 for $269 and more:

  • How does the Netgear WiFi Extender Work? Do you have to have it plugged into Ethernet in order to (truly) extend your wifi? If it's not connected to the main connection then it's really just acting as a wifi receiver (ie: it still has to be within range of the main router.) Unless it's using Power-line networking…

    • The extender just extend your current Wifi signal from your router. It's good for 5Ghz band as it's weak but less interference.

    • You either plug into the wall like a homeplug, or use the docking station (see the listing photos more details).
Either way - you are connecting it onto the wall socket for power source.
It is a dual band WiFi extender, with some extra ports that may benefit your use. Eg. Connect your speakers (bedroom or living room) to this extender, and you can output your tablet/smartphone's music or movies using the speaker directly.
Eg 2. you can connect your Printer to this and make it a wireless printer

      Regards
      SE

    • I have one of these. You can use it in wireless repeater/extender mode.

wall > modem/router > netgear wifi extender > tablet phone etc.

Ethernet not essential, but helps if you plug it into a computer to configure its settings.

      • How far does it extend your wifi? Assume you plug it into the wall on the edge of your main wifi range, how much further will it 'extend' the range?

        • +1

double brick apartment, lots of interference from other devices in house as well as neighbours

It has 5ghz which doesn't reach as far as 2.4ghz but gives 'excellent' signal from netgear wnd3700 approximately 10m through two bedrooms.

  • Hi Rep - when do we get the code for the Never Settle promotion? Is it a sticker on the 7970 box, or a separate email or something?
    Or does anyone else know?

    • It comes as a separate piece paper.

  • can you do a deal on 3tb hdds?

    • any in particular??

      • the ones that come with an extra TB (making them 4TB) and are cheap… but OK for NAS…and are seagate…
(Still waiting for these to get closer to the 100 dollar mark though - given i want four. Yeah i know i'll be waiting a while longer yet.)

Ok Guys - DJ has indicated that there is a chance our server will crash & since we are going to do Black Friday Sales soon, i've managed to get the quantity offerd for HD 7970 to 40 units. I've thrown down the gauntlet - now it's your turn.

p.s gonna be away in meeting for next weeks promotion so reply will be slow.

    Cheers
    SE

    • Black Friday sales = 29 Nov?

      • Yeah. BF is 29/11 and Cyber Monday 2/12 this year.

    • Hi SE, please grant my wishlist for the upcoming sales on Seagate NAS HDD 3.5 inch 2TB Hard Drive or any NAS 2TB Hard drive. I will need 2 of them for my microserver setup

  • Hi Rep,

    Any deals for UPS's?

  • For anyone who was curious as to how this card stacks up against the Vapor-X version

    Boost Ed:
    Core: 950/1000 MHz
    Memory: 5700/5800 MHz effective

    Vapor-X
    Core: 1000/1050 MHz
    Memory: 6000 MHz

But you'll pay an extra $140 for the Vapor-X. Nothing that can't be overcome with some minor OC'ing.

    • Legitreview has a good article on the overclocking potential on this card. Peformance is in the range of a $400 card with good OC.

Not to crash the party but…
For anyone who misses out on this awesome price from SE you can still grab the Powercolor version of the 7970 OC for $299 from Mwave (also seems to include Never Settle code).

    http://www.mwave.com.au/product/powercolor-amd-radeon-hd-797…

PS: Not sure how Powercolor version compares to Sapphire version.

Can you do deals on gtx 660 ti?

  • Got one this time, thanks OP :-)

  • Yep. Ordered. Thanks SE

  • Got one. Thanks guys!

  • I so wanted to combine with something else for free shipping but there's absolutely nothing else that great. Shame.

  • Got the 7970, and it was shipped out today. Thanks, and more video card promos please SE!

  • Got the 7970 today
The stickers seem very lose and the box worn
    Should I be worried?

    • Is the card itself alright? My package was in great condition.

      • Had a look inside and the card looks to be fine.
But, won't get a chance to test it for at least 2 weeks..

SE supports seems very responsive so if i have any problems hopefully they will be able to sort it out.
