  • No GTA V?

    • Checking now…

    • +1

These are PC games, only the cd keys are sent by email. You pay extra for the box.

No GTA V on PC yet.

      Price seem decent.

    • Hi @congngo, just confirmed that @skazclaw is correct. No PC for GTA5 at the moment, only PS3/Xbox versions. You'll need to have the box shipped to Australia to play. If you're interested I'll PM you more details. Cheers!

NFS Rivals for PC is locked at 30fps…. it is a crappy console port. Do yourself a favour and ignore that game.

    • Whoever neg voted me (am guessing the store rep here), thank you. I forgot we are in 1996 where FPS was bound with game speed and games were meant to be locked at 20/30 fps at 16 bit colours. :) Sorry about that.

      • +1

Lol, the developers or fans of the game are probably negging you.
No problem with the game itself (because I haven't played it) just the way developers like to take shortcuts with console ports.

Upvoted our comments just to balance things out a bit

    • No mate I did not neg you (nor your follow-up posts)…

      • +2

Oh well..sorry for jumping into a dark conclusion then. Sincere apologies. :)

        • No worries mate. Thanks! :D

  • Can these PC game cdkeys be activated through Steam?

    • I think BF4 and NFS are on Origin, COD is on Steam, and Assassin's Creed is on UBI.

They do have a few other games like Civ 5 on Steam, please check out the link in our forum post:
      http://www.chinabuy.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13.

If the game is on Steam then yes it can be activated through Steam.

Sorry, Black Friday is not till next week.

    • Yeah mate, seems that sellers on Taobao have already started the their Black Friday Sale… It will last a while at least until next weekend though. Sorry if this is misleading.

I so want to play Call for Duty: 10 Ghosts.

    • +1

Thanks @Zidago then please consider getting one now. :D

I will be online until midnight today and will process all your orders asap.

  • Will this deal last until I get paid next week?

    • Thanks @yojabbajabba, YES unless all stores on Taobao run out of stock. Just check back next week. I am sure the Black Friday Sale on Taobao will run until next weekend. :D

This is probably a bit OT but I would wait until BF4 is fixed before getting it. I can't believe how far the franchise has fallen. BF2 was godly. But don't mind me, I actually thought jets were fine in BF2 despite being an exclusive grunt in most matches. Not much in gaming was as tense as the fear of being bombed while capping points with mates from your jeep.

    • Fixed??

Sure it crashes a bit, but a lot of the lag issues are SERVER related because morons running Celerons with 2gb RAM call them "servers"… Then they are connected to DoDo Internet…

If you play on a decent server with a decent internet connection, it is pretty sweet…

    Hi Rep,

Would you be able to get a xiaomi mi3 anytime soon?

    Cheers

    • Thanks mate, yes Xiaomi MI3 is in stock. Prices are around A$450. However this depends on the colour and specs you're after.

The parcel will be around 1kg and express shipping to Australia will be ~A$35 (as it contains battery so a bit more expensive than standard express shipping).

You can check for prices on Taobao here:
      http://s.taobao.com/search?spm=a230r.1.0.0.W2RsyW&promote=0&…

If you're interested please let me know by PM or get a quote with our order form http://www.chinabuy.com.au/order

      Cheers!

  • No deals on BF4 with Premium?

    • We sure do, thanks for the reminder!

The cheapest we can find is $46.31 (for premium membership only, you need to have BF4 already) at the moment. Other stores have it for a bit more (up to $49).

      For BF4+Premium you'll be looking at $95.

If you're after anything else just ask and I'll let you know the lowest price we offer.

      • $95? I can get it for $70 off Origin Mexico. Its not region locked so no bans or anything.

        • I thought it was around $50+$40 with method from this thread:
          http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/123829

If you buy from us then you can basically avoid using a Mexican VPN and get a (boxed version) English cdkey (English is one of the official languages in Hong Kong). I don't know how much exactly you end up paying with a Mexican VPN but seems a bit cheaper.

Please let me know if there is a cheaper way to buy these games.
          Cheers!

        • This thread on reddit shows it to be $39 for BF4 and $31 for Premium on Origin Mexico adding up to $70. I have checked the rates to confirm them and they are correct.

        • +1

And it has also been confirmed by Amazon's Marketing Manager that BF4 will be going on a special sale on 29 November (Black Friday) for $29.99 and Premium Service will also be for $29.99 adding up to $59.98.

It may even be $25 each if this post is true.

        • Great find. I have to agree that's indeed the cheapest price for BF4 now.

        • Wow that sounds amazing.

I hope by that time the prices on Taobao would drop in response to that. I'll keep everyone posted if there is a further discount.

Thanks a lot for the information!

        • Sorry if I came off as a dick. Just trying to get a better deal :)

        • No worries mate. I think everyone is always very welcome to post the very best deal on OZB. :)

        • What is this from Amazon? Is this from the US? Will it work in Australia?

        • Thats off Origin's Mexican site but wait till Friday. Amazon will have BF4 and Premium for $30 each. DVD and Download versions.

  • Rep; I can't understand how Chinabuy makes money. I know Olivia doesn't chase down bargains out of the goodness of her heart, and you claim you have no service fee, so where does the profit come in? Do you take a percentage? I'm just a bit suspicious of ordering through any company whose business model I can't understand…

    • +4

Thanks @chickentaste, actually this is a good question. We're a family business and we've just started. Currently we're not making any profit. Kevin and I have our own jobs and we're not running Chinabuy full-time. We get nothing for our labour at the moment. And we've invested some money into things like sourcing partners, logistic companies in China and web hosting, etc.

Anyways I don't see this as a major issue as our business does not require us to have a lot of money to start — if you know what I mean. We're not wealthy and we choose the business model for this exact reason.

In terms of ways to remain profitable in the future, we can negotiate further discounts with our logistic suppliers when we have a more consistent shipment flow. Also, we have bank accounts in China so we'll choose good timing to get the Chinese Yuan when the exchange rate is good. More importantly, the current model is not we're looking at for the long-term. We will expand our service to include importing popular items in bulk when our cash flow allows us to, but that may be at least a few months later.

Potentially we can make a percentage from our purchases on Chinese online stores (through an affiliation program) but we're not doing it right now. And it'll only make a difference when our sales figures go up.

I hope this answers your question and take your doubt away. If you have any question, comment or suggestion I'm more than happy discuss further.

      Cheers,
      Olivia.

      • Thanks for the information, good luck with your business.

  • Hi,

I'm new with this. I'm interested in Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 4 Premium that is offered. A few questions:
    1. I can play multiplayer in Australia? Or is it somehow locked to China?
    2. Do I download the game or do I get CDs with these?

    Thank you.

    • I'm not REP but I'll answer this best to my knowledge.

      1. You can play as normal in Australia. BF4 is not region locked except for Ukraine and Russia if I recall correctly.
      2. You will receive a cd-key for the game and you add it to Origin and download it.

I replied to you above but I'll do it again.

Wait till friday because Amazon will have BF4 and Premium service for $30 each.

    • Sorry for the late reply @btkh, and I think the answers from @abbztract are very accurate & correct. :D

Thanks again for your interest in our service.

  • I posted about Rocksmith before, didn't realise I had posted someone's referral link and subsequently the whole post got removed.

Anyway, just want to recap that it is a great way to get access to more songs (~50) for Rocksmith 2014 once you buy the song import tool ($9.95), plus lets you purchase the Rocksmith DLC for use in Rocksmith 2014. There's currently a bug in Steam that doesn't allow you to purchase DLC for games you don't own, not sure when they will fix that.

    • OMG, I'm posting this in the wrong thread. I thought this was about Amazon sales
