Pity there are no video card upgrade options.

    • If you look at the bigger brother model like P170SM this is graphics configurable, but much more expensive.

    Hi Rep,

Any chance there might be a deal for a 15"?

    • I just bought the 15" so I hope not. lol. :P

Hi rep - up vote for 15" - sorry machej :)

        • If yes rep, can I please have a discount on my purchase? xD

    • Sorry at this stage there is not any deal on the 15" equivalent model 'W650SR'.

  • hi rep, how mucj would it cost for windows 7s?

    • +1

just the cost of a blank dvd drive and pro-rata internet costs for downloading it from TPB

      • legend

      • don't even need a dvd, just install via bootable usb

      • And the indefatigable pop-ups suggesting that your copy of Windows just might not be legit. I bought a second hand unit for which a business licence had already been paid, but which Microsoft refused to honour. I now laugh in its face.

    • eBay has OEMs for around $95.

      • buying windows off ebay is playing with fire

fakes are notoriously prevalent and many of the so called fakes still let you install and use because grants several months of access at which point windows will ask you for a new key
meaning it is too late to raise paypal dispute

        one of many sob stories

        bottom line…
        windows and ebay dont mix

        • hmm, mine is still going strong since 2010. I guess it depends on the seller. You have to look carefully.

        Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit [Add $99.00]

This is completely reasonable price. No need to buy from ebay just to save a few bux. Many sellers are either pirating or selling MSDN keys.

  • Hey rep, any chance of a deal on the W550EU? The W650EH has been $100 off for god knows how long, but no love on the W650EU :(

    • We have had cut throat price on W550EU for a very long time also. It is hard for us to discount this further. If we can do it I will list it here for sure.

  • +1 for having so many options involving hard drives, ODD Conversion Brackets and mSATA for upgrading to SSD.
What's the reliability like with these guys? Is it as good as the big names? I'm just trying to work out why Horize Laptops aren't more popular… I guess they are quite expensive, but for the specs you get it seems worth it. And they don't try to scam the customer by for example putting a gt610m graphics card and calling it a gaming laptop. Everything's top notch so keep up the good deals :)

    • Horize is a badge for Clevo, they sell it under different names in different regions. Affordablelaptops sell the same Clevos only it's called Metabox. In the US they go under the name Sager. I dunno what's up with that, but they are quite popular around the world.

I'm still waiting for that deal on W230ST,OP.. Aany day now, right? Right?

  • +2

need deals on 15" or 13", 17" is just to big for my liking

  • "Please observe build and test period."

    What is test period?

  • You could pick faults all day, but really the only issue for the price is that it isn't an SSD.

And I wouldn't be paying the extra to swap it out. Logial-blue a very, very good value but on extras they are NOT.

Well they have to profit somehow, I guess.

  • Does it come with a drivers disc for WIN 8/7/Vista/XP/Linux?

    • Hi, It comes with a driver disc for Windows 8.

The Windows 7 drivers are downloadable.

      Vista/XP does not support this.

Linux has its own driver support, should be fine with everything but it may have some issues with nVidia Optimus, although I believe that is being more readily supported now.

  • Any black fridays deal in the pipeline, jackkel?
