  • How do you think the $89 Bluedio headphones compare with the ME-Electronics AF52 headphones that were on Ozbargain for a similar price recently?

The ME headphones get good to great reviews across the board. I don't think you could go wrong with a set of them. I came close to buying a pair during that sale but held off by the skin of my teeth.

Personally I've got headphones with multiple speakers in them, both gaming ones with discrete 5.1 (3x 3.5mm) and the virtual surround sound ones. IMO they are a gimmick, even when gaming.

If it's music you are after then it's better to have less but more powerful drivers IMO.

      • Thanks again c0balt, you always have such detailed advice! :)

My AF52 have arrived and they are great, though I am still tempted by the Bludio for the extended battery life and sd card support.

    • You cannot compare the two.
I had missed out on the deal, but mikemeelec of MeElectronics, was kind enough to give me the AF-62 at Ozbargain price ($149 - $80)+delivery after PMing him.

      • Why can you not compare the two? Mikemeelec being a really nice guy does not necessarily make his headphones the best :p

  • please dont buy kogan brands…..

    Lightweight Bluetooth Headphones $24

This is a counterfeit of the Nokia BH-503 which sells for as little as $15 AUD..

Real thing has good sound quality, but not sure about the fake ones. Given that it sells for around $14.99 on eBay I think you can take a guess at how long it'll last you (reliability and battery-life)…

      Still better than Sennheiser ;)

  • Any one tried the Pro Urban DJ Studio Bluetooth 2.1 Headphones $39 yet?

It looks very nice. I intend to buy it.

    • Yeah they do look really nice. Considering a white pair myself.

$39 delivered for a set of A2DP over ear headphones with 3.5mm aux in is a very good price. 250mAh battery should be enough for a work shift but will probably get closer to 6 hours than 8 on full volume (my Logitech H800s get around that.)

    • Any other alternatives in this price range?

There's some on eBay around this price and style but for me personally, the Kogan one looks better to my eyes than the ones I can find on eBay.

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bluetooth-Stereo-Headphones-for-I…
I don't like when they omit the mAh capacity and only use 'hours of listening'.

Once in a blue moon the Logitech H800s come down to around $60 and are great headphones (lack in build quality but have a rich and full soundstage with bluetooth and 2.4ghz USB selectable so they are good for music and gaming as bluetooth doesn't allow mic + stereo).

Like all other bluetooth headphones though, they could be a little louder at the top end when I want to rattle my fillings.

The Bluedio R+ supports apt-x profile and you can definitely notice a difference in sound quality. I have one (bought on ebay for $99) but considering to get another one. thanks OP

wow Bluedio R+ for that price, CHA CHING!

  • Back again!

    • Thanks! Removed the expired mark.
