ASUS MX299Q 29" Monitor $595 + $100 Voucher + Shipping @CPL

20

Found this in the "Weekly Hot Bargain" area of CPL. It is the same price as other places except it has a $100 voucher attached. I can't see via the site whether it's from the dealer or the manufacturer but it can be useful in any case.

It looks quite nice and has a very long resolution but still only 1080 pixels vertical. Still, someone may be in the market for something like this.

    quite pricey for 1080p res

    • +2

      It's not 1080 really, it's an ultra wide screen (2560 * 1080)

      • Not as wide as two monitors tho. So not really worth it

It'd depend on how you want to use it. There's advantages and disadvantages to having the display split over multiple monitors. People playing an FPS title on a PC for example may appreciate not having the primary part of the playing area falling between the bezels of the screens.

Definitely true. I decided to go a single 27 inch 1440p instead of 2x 24 inch 1080 for that exact reason. Not precisely a fan of a bezel in the middle of my face. It's hard to find the monitor you want with the smallest bezel.

Imagine you try to aim headshot with a bezel in the middle lol. I'm not sure what I will be looking at anymore. The game or the bezel.

        • Completely difference size

    • Well being a 29 inch the price is alright.

Once you've gone 21:9, its very hard to go back…

  • +1

It's a 29 inch IPS display. Maybe this would be an equivalent. Remember the bargain is for this model of Asus monitors.

  • Anyone have this monitor

    Samsung LS27C750PS

    If so how is it?
