  • Whats the difference between this and the kmart skateboards for $15

you shouldnt be skateboarding if you ask these sorts of questions. Darkstar is a pro brand and that alone beats any kfart brand.

I dont skateboard. Its for my son. Your comment doesnt mean anything to me as this could be a kfart brand for all I know. Hence the question.

darkstar is an actual skate brand but its on the cheaper end of the spectrum price point wise
so pretty good for learners or people wanting to get into skateboarding imo

though i privy this but saying i actually haven't ridden any darkstar boards myself (i dont like their deck designs) skulls/death/flames not my thing…

main difference between kmart boards (i havent bought one of them big department store boards in quite some time so my info may be dated) is the bearings on them suck, the thing just does not roll very quickly after using

after awhile it feels like your pulling the board along instead of pushing and basically sucks to ride
i wouldn't recommend kmart type boards to anyone with even a slight interest in progression

      • most kmart boards use abec 5 or 7s

        • abec rating dont mean much on skateboards
i wouldnt use it as the only indicator of bearings

there is alot of reading on the internet about it

some light reading if you anyone is interested

Thanks OP, I just bought the kids Christmas gift to me :D

Now to look for health insurance that covers skateboard related accidents…..

I bought my son a set of pads and wrist guards last year and this has saved him numerous times. Figured as a 5 year old who is still learning he won't argue about wearing them.

  • also comes in blue

  • Also bought one for myself. :D

  • Jeez! That's a great price for a complete! I'd say this is an excellent set-up for anyone looking at getting into skateboarding.

  • the darkstar sword is a bit of a Guerrero ripoff
