I can't never get these to connect at gigabit speed
how long are the runs with your set-up? maybe you need a decent cat6 instead?
just directly connect my router to my computer. I got 2 of these and they both are ony at 100mbs

LOL, it is gigabit router. I double checked with the cable came with the modem and it is 1gbs
