Today we are launching what I consider our best deal of the year - our annual Black Friday "MEE What" Random Earphone Promotion. It's a way for us to give some of our lowest-ever pricing on our newly-released models such as the second-generation M9P/M6P, and hopefully to add a little fun and anticipation to the process.

Here's how it works-

For the price of $19.99 USD (use coupon code BLACKFRIDAY2013) you will receive one of the following earphones, selected at random, in accordance with the following odds:

Coupon code is "BLACKFRIDAY2013". There is a limit of 2 per order and the coupon will expire this coming Sunday, December 1st, at midnight PST.

The same coupon code also gives an additional $2.95 credit towards shipping. For those who use US forwarding services, this will give free postage to any US address. For everyone else it will just discount the total by an additional $2.95. Standard 1st class postage to Australia will be $6 after the $2.95 discount and does not change whether you buy one MEE What or two.

Delivery times vary but are typically between 10 and 20 business days for the cheapest shipping method. FedEx shipping is also available at an additional cost and typically delivers in just a few days. If you need to hit a specific delivery date, we recommend using FedEx.

    I can't believe how friendly these guys are.
    Buy yet, I am struggling to understand how something (was!) selling for $119.99 can be sold for $19.99 (obviously still making money otherwise why make the effort to sell them), almost one sixth of the original (MSRP) price.
    Would you elaborate on this and enlighten the community please.

      Only 1% of orders will ship with the A161P model. We will definitely be losing money on those orders, but it's a numbers game.

    I'm not sure I understand how this is a good deal.
    If I receive an M6 or M9 even though technically I made a good deal, I would be disappointed and not use it ever.
    So there is a 65% chance* I would be disappointed. Sounds pretty bad deal to me :)
    (* - given that the numbers are actually correct and they are not sending out M6 only as you'd never know ;)

      Obviously it works better if you actually need earphones. $19.99 for the M9P Second Gen or M6P Second Gen is still our lowest-ever pricing so in my view you're still getting a deal.

      Any residual disappointment for not "winning" will be down the individual ;)

      There's a $2.95 shipping discount applied to the total when you put in the coupon code (on the invoice it will read "FREE SHIPPING FOR MEE WHAT? -$2.95"). Order total for you should be ~$26 for one unit or ~$46 for two.

      Mine haven't snapped but the cable has been exposed and is coming undone.
      I use them on my laptop and never wrap the cable.

    I've purchased the A161P IEM headphones and I did not regret making that purchase at all. The quality of the sound is phenomenal, you can clearly hear the treble, the mids, the bass and not drown out by bass like some other brands.
    I was going to pay 300 bucks for a pair of Sonys IEM but these are just as good.
    If you want to get the A161P and dont want to gamble on the 1%, I would pay full price for one.

    Both show as $19.99 on the website not $39.99 as below.

    I'm still quite happy with the purchase since I got 2 sets of headphones for about $20 but unless I'm missing something they've mislead at the top as none of these models arrived:
