90

First post :)

Got mine from JB for $385 a month ago! :(

Good one though!

Called yesterday, they said there are no stock in NSW, but about 30 - 40 in Vic. Since it's an online only. So grab yourself a bargain before it all finish up!

The RRP here for these are a whooping $449.00 AUD

  • Hmmm when did OW sell Bose?….

    • Bose must be moving down market.

    • When I called up yesterday after seeing it in the catalog, I was told that this would be the last time they sell it, they are selling it at the cost price, trying to get rid of all of them. Shrugs

      • Trying to get rid of them because they don't work very well, like most headphones that claim to cancel noise.

I use one regularly during trips (FIFO), and find that it works very well for me, flying on a Dash 8 (twin turboprop).

Expensive yes, does it work, yes.

Bose do have good noise cancelling tech, but it's limitation is that it is only good at cancelling steady noise like an aircraft hum or perhaps train noise.

Good old fashioned isolating in-ear earphones don't have that limitation, they always do their job. And because they're simply dampening noise, you're not paying a premium for fancy electronics you frankly don't need.

Probably an officeworks grey import job. They are not a Bose authorized dealer.

If you buy this and have an issue, make sure you only go back to OW, and not to the Bose store, as they won't help you.

Geezus, $350 for that piece of flimsy plastic? That almost buys you enough for two AD900s. Hell, you could grab an AD900 and a UE TF10 for slightly more, you'd have both a pair for home and on the go, and they'd both sound significantly better.

Power of marketing that this could ever sell for $450 and $350 could be called a bargain.

  • Hi all
Just purchased these from OW online. Just a quick question I noticed the ad states "USA model; comes only with USA travel adapter". What does this mean if I use the headphones on Qantas flights? Will I need to get some sort of adapter?
