Totally buying one for myself :)

    • I will diet and share with my kid :).

      • No kids for me = more play time for me! >:D

  • these things are awesome. we have bought about 5 over the time as gifts for kids (and adults) we usually buy them from the NZ 1-day site, but oo.com regularly have them on sale - like now www.oo.com.au/Ride-On-Swing-Car-No-Pedals-_P112838C1235.cfm

    • Very interesting. The oo deal works out $10 cheaper for me - including delivery charges from both sites - to Kingsford NSW (metropolitan Sydney).

Do you reckon both are the same "name brand" and quality.

      • yep. we have bought from both.

        • Great. Thanks for that. A review of this product on Amazon US said the wheels were plastic, not rubber. What wheels do yours have ? I had assumed rubber wheels - which I'd expect to be easier on floors etc and more durable.

        • plastic.

if your local park has paths then it's worth the purchase. if our boy isn't on his balance bike for general paths then this always goes with us.

  • Got these previously (elsewhere) for the kids. They are great AS LONG AS you have large area of perfectly flat level ground, eg driveway or inside floorboards.
If you don't have this type of area, then I would look at a different ride on.

  • So is the "bargain" the free postage if buying more than one ? Looks like this is the usual price and they are available at various outlets and ebay for the same sort of price and postage.

We have big living area with floorboards but all the ads say it shouldn't be used inside.

Is "Rolling coaster" the brand - and is it the original brand for these ?

    • our son uses it inside on floorboards. we aren't particularly finicky about marks on the floor, but anyone over 30kgs and it starts to make a dent. we take it to the local park or on the driveway usually.

the ones we have bought from different sites have all been the same.

      hope this helps belbo.

      • That helps. Thanks mate. May get one from oo and see how we go. Both kids won't be up to 30kg for a good few years so sounds find. Driveway and side of house are pretty small compared to inside so inevitably they'll end up riding it inside. Local bike track is a good option of course - that's where I first saw kids riding them - they get up to quite a speed.

  • free shipping for $50+ ?

  • DD often have these for $24.95 but with more than $5 shipping, so technically cheaper than usual for them. Mind you, these are good value any day of the week. Scratches the floorboards when my little man does wheelies but man can he fly along on it. He doesn't do the wiggle-the-steering-to-move-without-pushing thing - that's too slow. With one push off he can glide from the kitchen to lounge room to hall (about 15m). Low down and balanced well means unlikely to tip (FYI for those helicopter parents). Probably best for 2-9 year olds but a toy that is appealing for 7 years of childhood for that kind of $ is awesome.

  • Interesting feedback blerk. I reckon its a no-no for us if it is going to scratch the floors inside. Our kids (2 and 3.5 yo) already have balance bikes and mini/maxi-micro scooters (which they use inside without scratching the floor).

  • its $11 for delivery, this thing ain't $50

  • Better deal at OO - $30 delivered and you don't have to spend $50… (that's what I'm getting to Perth anyway)

    http://www.oo.com.au/Ride-On-Swing-Car-No-Pedals-_P112838.cf…

    • Yeah. Better deal. Is it the same product ?

  • Definitely don't use on wood floors. My son left track (scratches) marks all over our wood floors.
Also the colour fades rapidly if not stored away from the sun. My son's is now a very faded pink instead of red.

But he loves riding on this more than his other kiddy ride on toys -he's 3.

    • Good info. Thanks. Will avoid buying until they're old enough to know not to use inside.

      • when they're 24
