  • good review at CSP, but it's not a HTC phone. which could be a plus.

No hard keypad/board as well. I don't get why they are so afraid to chuck a T9/qwerty (or 2-touch qwerty like the Touch Dual 850) on the phone and make it look stylish too? Nobody can ever say blackberrys or palms are stylish — they're hideous. Yes, they get the job done, but I want to get the job done and have a nice looking phone too, which is why I have a HTC Touch Dual 850 at the moment. Combining both a qwerty keyboard and a touch screen, using a sliding mechanism, it's fantastic. I don't mind full qwerty phones like the Touch Pro, in fact it's really quite nice, but the HTC Dream (android phone) is pretty hideous as well looking like one of those HipTop things.

This is a nice deal though. Wish I still had my K-Rizzle money left over, instead of spending it all at Hollywood Showgirls at Surfers last night :(

Edit: Oh, and why MicroSD too?! SD is fine for a PDA sized phone, MiniSD is great for smaller phones, but MicroSD in regards to mobile storage is just stupid. They're so damn fiddly to get out, let alone get in. Then you have to use an adapter to get it to fit into normal sized SD slots (which is also true with the MiniSD). Just give me an SD card slot and I'll be happy :)

  • It's a fine unit. Has a fair bit of metal, has a D-pad and side scroller and nice VGA screen. While the software is no-frills, it does have an update to WM6.1, free CE-STAR and Winterface on the Imate website. I have the Ultimate 8150 (smaller screen but with numpad). Drawbacks include: limited to 2GB uSD and not many convenient options for audio out. Easily overlooked at this price!

  • Not a bad phone, but it's large and ancient
