HTC One XL TELSTRA Pre-Paid - $349 at DickSmith Online + Click & Collect

80

Hi All,

Just spotted that Dicksmith has marked Telstra locked HTC One XL prepaid mobile as "reduced to clear" and has been marked down to $349. This is same price as previous click frenzy deal plus an opportunity for peeps who recently succumbed to the Dicksmith gift card sale :)
The dicksmith website doesn't show detailed specs so here is the link from Testra site and HTC site for detailed specs.
I just walked into the Brisbane city store after opting for click and collect and got mine :)….now need to hunt for a unlock code and planning to drop a note to Bagman….if you have the gift cards you can bring down the value by another $20 if you use the $220 gift card so will cost you $349-$20+$5(for unlock) = $334 which is a good price with the convenience of walking into a brick and mortar shed to pick up right away :)

+1 for the description and the thinking…. ;-) Tru Ozbargainer…

    • A true ozbargainer would have bought this when it was $329 outright 2 week ago.

      • Well in that case there should be no deal posted once the 'best price' deal has expired?

  • I'm pretty sure it isn't Network Locked, as indicated in the page's URL. "./telstra-htc-one-xl-grey-not-locked-dsau-em5231/"

    • Only one way to find out, op did you open it yet? Lol

    • Wow mate you are betting on the URL but not on the name of the product "TELSTRA" HTC One XL Grey :)….it is network locked….I haven't bought mine yet…just reserved with deposit as I am waiting for the gift cards to arrive and will purchase with gift cards…Brisbane city store guy was a complete no-fuss guy…I offered to put $99 deposit (since I have ING :)) but he told me that I only need to put 10% and store can hold the phone for 10 days…..

HTID09 I haven't opened it yet but I did read the box which said there is a sim inside the box and I think it also said that you get $10 credit when you activate the sim….so the phone must be network locked….

Add some more money and buy Nexus 5 16gb for $400.

    • nickdunn I concur…..but I am buying this deal for a friend who is tight on budget and I was trying to help him find the best possible option within his budget….also he is flying overseas next Thursday and I am not sure if Nexus will arrive by then if we order today…..nevertheless, will try to float the idea of getting Nexus to him again since I haven't "bought" the phone yet….any idea on the shipping time of Nexus fromplay store since it's not available in retail outlets?

  • This or Samsung Galaxy S3 4G?
