Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones - $79.99

51

Product code: MDR-NC22/WM

I saw these in the JBHIFI on Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, in their computer store. I don't know if this is in a catalogue or is a single-store special.

These are for the white in-ear canals, pictured, not the black ones. Reduced from $122 to $79.99. Includes airplane adapter. Noise Cancelling requires AAA battery. Sounded spectacular on the train, I was surprised at the amount of ambient noise that was filtered out.

These are not a bad set of headphones and the noise cancelling works pretty well. Not as good as the Bose or new Panasonic digital ones, but great value at this price ;-)

From what i gather from the reviews, the sound quality is good, but the noise cancelling leaves something to be desired from, as it has noticable hissing in quieter environments.

  • It's good on planes. I'd go for them had I not already have a cheap pair from Phillips - after I lost my pair of Sony's a few years ago… :(

    • are the phillis ne good?

I've never been a fan of the Phillips, but it is all relative. If you think the white headphones that come with an iPod are good, then you won't be disappointed by the Phillips. However, if you use brands like Sure and Sennheiser then you might be disappointed. Hope this helps.
