SSD Sales @ PLE Computers - SanDisk UltraPlus 128GB SSD $79 and 256GB $149 Only

730

This is the cheapest SSDs I found in the market. If you are living in Perth just head down to the shop for a lucky draw.
About $12.90 by eParcel if it's shipped to Eastern states.

They are? Because it still looks the same price to me…

  • which one is better ultra plus or extreme ii?

    • On paper extreme II is better, but i dont think you will see any real world differences. I think…

    • Looks like they both use a Marvell controller. Wonder if those are any good these days. I lose track of what's what, I just know I won't touch sandforce again.

Can anyone advise whether these are compatible with a Macbook Pro? I have a 13 inch model (1278). TY

A better question would be, is a Macbook Pro compatible with this SSD?

    • I thought macs can't be upgraded, unibody and all that?

Yes they are, any ssd will work. You will need a torx screw driver though, they are cheap on ebay.

Bonus: here is an instruction guide with photos how to do it, hope it helps. http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Unibody+Model+A1278+Hard…

  • Anyone thinking of trying Officeworks price match? Do you think it would work for us not in Perth?

    • I dont think OW stocks SSDs… i could be wrong… but i really doubt it…

      EDIT

      Hmm… guess i was wrong… though i didn't see any sandisk ultra
