The Good Guys are selling the DC44 for $427. Full retail is $549. Cash price offered was $415.

      Lots that could be seen. The store representative mentioned that the DC35 was being discontinued but the other models were all new.

      Unfortunately, Masters only price match for appliances. Hopefully that saves you the effort but no harm trying your luck!

          Masters recently changed the price match policy on appliances from the "Match" to the "beat by 10%" version.

          I bought the exact vacuum listed under a 10% beat at the Northlakes store about a fortnight ago and the signs were in the process of being swapped from match to beat while i was in store. Price was about $395 after the price beat from memory.

      I did a lot of research on this, the DC44 and previous models get a lot of complaints to do with overheating, shutting off with no visible obstructions and battery contacts failing. The DC59 & DC59 Animal apparently resolves all these issues, I got the DC59 Animal last week through the Myer 20% off sale. Have only used it once and have not had a handheld vacuum before but I must say I am impressed.

    Got DJ to price match a Myer DC59 aminal at $519.2
    Use a registered AMEX card to get extra $50 off
    So only $469.2 for a much more powerful DC59
