    CPU: Intel Core i5 4670 [$243 @ MSY]
    MB : Gigabyte H87-D3H [$125 @ MSY]
    RAM: 8GB Crucial 1600MHZ [$85 @ various]
    SSD: 120GB Kingston [$95 @ MSY]
    HDD: 1TB Seagate SATA3 [$66 @ MSY]
ODD: Samsung DVD Writer [$18 @ MSY]
CASE: Thermaltake Versa I Mid Tower case with 500W PSU [$78 @ MSY]

Total: $710 excluding assembly. Great deal, though if you're buying you may want to invest a little more to get a 256GB SSD and a 2TB HDD.

Actually, I'd invest some of that money into a better PSU

      • +3

        Damn, beaten haha.

        • +1

          have a plus vote :-)

Actually, I'd invest all of that money into beer and keep my current rig.

        • Hear, Hear! What's your current rig by the way?

        • +17

Pentium II but he has no regrets.

        • +2

ATOM processor. found at the dump.

PSU will be fine for the PC as configured, but add in anything above a mid-range video card and it would be better replaced. Specs here: http://www.thermaltake.com.au/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001…

        • Would a HD7850 be suitable i.e. is it mid-range?

        • +3

Yes, I got one a few days ago from a crazy MSY clearance sale for $59 :) MSI HD7850 1GB5 0C, brand new sealed in box. Runs things pretty well

        • Woah. Was that advertised on their site on the day? I missed it… I bought an MSI HD7850 2Gb card last week from them, for $149 (last they had in stock at that store)

        • +2

Should be fine with the HD7850 as it meets the requirements. For 79xx series I would consider a higher specced PSU.

        • It was on the PDF clearance list 27 11 13. Mitcham store 1 only, I thought it was a typo and I was surprised no one had picked it up before me

        • You scored an absolute bargain. :D

    • -1

You don't really need more than a 120gb SSD.

  • Using the MSY pricing

    CPU ($243): Intel Core i5 4670
    MB ($125): Gigabyte H87-D3H
RAM (~$110): 8GB Crucial 1600MHZ (Not on MSY)
SSD ($115): 120GB Kingston (Assumed HyperX, may be V300)
    HDD ($66): 1TB Seagate SATA3
    ODD ($18): Samsung DVD Writer
CASE ($78): Thermaltake Versa I Mid Tower case with 500W PSU

Total: $755. Considering warranty and it being built, pretty good deal.

Rep, please confirm the SSD model. Thank you.

      SSD is SV300S37A/120G

      • Cool, thanks for that!

any chance of a more "budget" build coming along before christmas?
ie: maybe an i3 build without an SSD

  • CPL is awesome, got my current 3750k build with a 7970 form them, no regrets has worked perfectly (besides some BSODs, but im convinced that is my windows 8 upgrade from windows 7).

    • BSODs are generally hardware faults or driver related. Your PC could have automatically updated drivers and alleviated the problem anyway :)

      • It was working flawlessly for months until i upgraded, and everything is stockclocks and nothings changed, its more then likely windows 8 spitting the dummy on my peripherals

        • virtualbox can bsod win 8.1

  • How come a lot of budget builds have H87 boards over B85?

    • +1

Beats me. Good riddance if you ask me. H87 has much more room for future upgrades e.g. SLI

      • The only difference I see is a different USB/SATA config, everything else seems the same. Both can support crossfire though the 2nd slot is limited to 4x (and I think only PCIE 2.0 too) (never seen a non Z87 support SLI)

  • Hey Rep, can I get it without the SSD and HDD but with an i7 instead? If so, what's the price? Thanks

    • Please email your request to [email protected]. We will reply your email with a quote.

  • i want a cheap gaming computer!!!

    • +11

      I want a Victoria's Secret model.

      • +3

        Had both, prefer the 'puter

      • +1

I know what would be less maintenance and more fun.

        • +2

I would imagine (in my admittedly limited experience) that one is less maintenance and the other is more fun…

  • Hey Rep, there's no option to add to cart. Is this deal on?

  • Hi, rep, I have a HD7970, I know the PSU won't suffice

what about the motherboard and the case, can they fit in a power color HD7970, 280mm in length?

    • I installed my Sapphire 7970 yesterday and my case is pretty similar to this.
It is a massive card. Blocked one of the PCI ports and almost blocked the other.

REP: Why no option to pay with Paypal as per your post???
By the time I signed up for that stupid "POLI" garbage so I could pay with CC the deal has expired!
    Very silly payment system.

  • this deal lasted for less than one hour

  • yeah i would have finally jumped on a cpl deal if there was more stock.

  • Hey, rep, will you have more units soon? Want to buy one for Xmas.

  • Still available just bought one.

Here's a tip. Doesn't matter if the deal is not the computer you want. Make the online purchase and select payment by bank transfer so you can pay later. This secures your order. Then send them an email with the components you really want. The deal I purchased I changed everything but the GPU, HDD, SSD and DVD drive. When you're happy with the quote, pay and get the computer a few days later. Awesome!
Why do it this way…so you can get the customer discount and the reduced assembly charge from the Ozbargain deals. CPL gets a sale regardless and they're happy to change components. I saved about $150 this way.

Personally I think they should just give us a permanent Ozbargain coupon code to use :)

And no, I'm not associated with them, my screen name happens to have the same letters.

With these deals, do you get the case with everything installed and the extras (manuals, spare cables, etc) in a seperate box? Or do you get the boxes at all?

    • Everything installed + all the original boxes, manuals, cables etc
