        Retina assets for the iPad (this is a universal app) can be pretty big in size.

      It will probably require direct links from the app or even download screens popping up in the app, so worth getting and you will get push notifications each day

      Doesn't necessarily mean you can't download the daily gifts… assuming somebody tells you what they are!

      If you want, I'll modify it to support iOS 6 and link it to you later. That's how I got Battlefield Commander to work on my iOS 6.0 iPad.

          It makes it easier to do do this if jailbroken because then I don't need your AppStore email address. But I'm replying to my parent comment with the instructions which should work for everyone without me needing anything from you.

        Going over the process, I realized that for this to work best, everyone would need to install AppSync or tell me their iTunes account email address.. I doubt everyone wants to do that so here's the instructions on how to edit and install the app.

        1. Download the app onto your computer from iTunes.
        2. Right click on the app and click "Go to Folder" or "Go to Finder" or whatever takes you to its location.
        3. Extract the file using an unarchiver.
        4. Open the folder of extracted files, open the Payload folder within, and then open the "12 Days" file.
        5. Inside the "12 Days", there is a file named "Info.plist". Open it.
        6. Inside the plist, find the "MinimumOsVersion" key.
        7. Change it's value from "7.0" to "6.0".
        8. Save and close the file.
        9. Rezip the whole "12 days" app folder we initially unzipped.
        10. Change the file extension to ipa.

          Oh right! Sorry!

          What you do is this:

          Remember the folder where iTunes saved the original ipa file? That's also the folder where we unarchived the file's contents into a folder.

          All you do is when you've gone through the process and rezipped the file, delete the already existing ipa and put your new edited file there. iTunes will then use the edited file when you add the app to your device.

          Edit:

          What I mean is delete the original ipa file once you Unarchive it, go through the process and it should work fine.

    The HD movie is 4.69 GB and the SD movie is 1.73 GB. Both in widescreen format which might not look that good with the iPad's 4:3 form factor.

      You can watch it as 16:9 on the iPad anyway with letterbox or doubletap to zoom, not a big deal really versus theatrical 21:9 ratios

        I have an iPhone 4S and it runs very well; some features are faster even. I just disabled the elaborate animations by enabling Reduce Motion (Settings > Accessibility > Reduce Motion).
