    For those who missed the deal - if you're sure you're going to pursue guitar as a long-term instrument; you can step it up a notch and grab an Epiphone Les Paul Standard from ABH for $399 and whilst a more expensive guitar; it's the heck of a better guitar from many aspects - it's a much better investment if you plan to play long-term.

    Paired with a decent modeling/practice amp like a Roland Cube (a 15XL should be enough - they run for around $169), you'll be set till that upgrade to a Gibson ;)

    Holy crud, I pulled my old nylon string guitar out of the cupboard for old times sake after missing out on this deal. I cant play this thing for crap anymore. Im looking at sheet music thinking I cant believe I used to play this.

    2 years of having a child and my brain has gone to mush.

    Mine arrived in Melbourne today. Guitar seems to be really nicely built. The amp looks like a pos. Happy with the purchase, since its into cheap no name knockoff territory yet we get a half decent name brand beginner guitar.

        For what I paid for it I'm happy. There did seem to be some sticky residue on the higher frets but it rubbed off without too much effort. Intonation was good and didn't need any adjustment. Action was ok, not super low but playable. Strings are average. Neck seems straight and didn't need the truss rod adjusted.

          Ah, thank you. Reading the amazon reviews, it appears that a lot of people have niggling issues with the pc version. I wonder if its better just to get an xbox 360 and the xbox version.
