  • Do these actually work? Anyone used one of these before?

    • If something that runs on 12v and costs $1.50 could remove poisonous gases I don't think global warming would be a thing.

      • lol, it is just a Air Purifier(it produces the ozone and anion). Apply it in the place of cigarette charger and then it works. It is popular in our site.

Wow just plug it in for instant nothing.

  • I'll let you know how much my health has improved after I plug this puppy in.

  • Ordered one to try. Let's see if it works…

  • Ive got one,
Plug in and dont no if it works or not
Have no clue how to tell
    LOL
just a blue light out of a 12v plug

Ozone is actually toxic to humans…

Made worse by using it in a small enclosed space

Ozone is a powerful oxidant (far more so than dioxygen) and has many industrial and consumer applications related to oxidation. This same high oxidizing potential, however, causes ozone to damage mucus and respiratory tissues in animals, and also tissues in plants, above concentrations of about 100 ppb

As far as I know, there isn't any scientific evidence to suggest that Ozone in small concentrations is significantly harmful to humans. I have used an air ionizer in my house for many years and have never experienced any adverse side-effects. The air feels "fresher" to breathe and allows me to achieve a high quality of sleep. Any "potential" minor side-effects like headaches, trouble breathing, etc. can apparently occur when exposed to higher concentrations of Ozone, but I have yet to experience these myself using an ionizer that produces safe levels.

A anion walked into a bar and ordered a big glass of beer, the bartender looked and asked 'Why are you so sad'.

The anion replied, 'You'd want to drink yourself stupid if you were negative all the time as well'

considering im the kinda guy that puts all the windows up and locks them, before letting one rip when there are other occupants in the car, i dont think this product would suit me.

  • Bought one of these on a previous sale. Use it in my car.
Not really sure if it does anything - it does have a pretty blue light….

It may be placebo, but the air in the car 'felt' better with it on.
So much so I'm tempted to buy another on this sale, so I guess it's a positive from me.

  • What they say makes no scientific sense. If you know high school science you would know this is bullshit. I doubt it draws in and filters out particles in the air.

    • They are meant to produce negative ion's which bind with the crap in the air and make it sink to the floor (since the particles are now heavier than air).

It appears to be a negative ion generator, plenty of detail on Wikipedia if you are curious.

Smoke, dust and pollen float in the air because they have a positive charge. Like charges repel, so they can't settle on a surface, as they are repelled by the smoke/dust/pollen particles already there.

Hence the concept of a negative ion generator. Generate negative ions, they will be attracted to the positively charged particles, and neutralize their charge, so they can settle out of the air. To do this, a negative ion generator produces a few thousand volts at extremely low current, feeds it to some electrodes (normally pointy electrodes), where the mutual repulsion of the negative ions pushes them off the end of the electrodes.

Simple ways to test: if you put your hand in front of it, you should feel a slight breeze coming from it. For a more definitive test test, use an incense stick or burning cigarette, place it so the smoke goes past the front of the negative ion generator, and the smoke should vanish as it passes the ion generator.

There are good negative ion generator designs and bad negative ion generator designs. A good design should produce about 10kV, up to this voltage ozone generation is minimal. Some bad designs produce up to 25kV, which produces negative ions much faster, but the amount of ozone produced is MUCH higher. As pointed out above, high concentrations of ozone are poisonous, although I have also read that small quantities of ozone might have a beneficial effect.

    • So this is an electrostatic precipitator. Their explaination of the item is rather poor. I've never heard of ozone ever being good.

    • They use these ion generators in surgery theatres alongside ordinary air filters to scrub and disinfect the air.

  • just bout one, lets see how it goes.
