$15 extra, and get double ram from here - http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/product_info.php?products_i…

    • This does look like a better deal.

There's also the cost of shipping to compare against. If you're able to pick-up from the store then CPL is prob better if you're in Melb, and Online Computer is prob better if you're in Sydney.

Otherwise, just comparing on what you get for the price, the Online Computer deal seems a bit better. Unless of course you can get CPL to match it :-)

Regardless, if you look at all the reviews that have been done on the 1000HE, it's probably still the best bang for buck netbook out there at the moment.

    • $20+ to ship from there.
I still think for anyone in Victoria, pick up from the store is cheaper. Plus you can have it on the same day.
$25 for the ram u/g from CPL. I think they sell it cheaper from MSY. So, still work out cheaper.

  • wonderful netbook picked one up myself a month ago when jb hifi had their 10% off sale
recommended for anyone who wants portability + battery life.

  • I bought myself an Asus 1000H a while ago…wish I held out, I think the biggest piece of netbook porn available at the moment is the IBM Lenovo S10!

  • i thought netbooks were limited to 1gb RAM?

    • No, they're just PC's so they're limitation will be based on what hardware the manufacturer uses. Sure they could make one that takes in a lot more ram but you run into issues in relation to where your going to fit it all.

Quite a few have 2GB or can be upgraded to 2GB but.

    • not that i know of? i have a eeebox 1.6ghz with 2GB ram (i know its an eee-box, and not an eee-pc, but it has the same motherboard)

  • Ah ok. All the Dell's seem to be limited to 1gb for some reason, and I thought it was the same for the Asus range. I actually had a play of my bro's Lenovo S10 last night and it was pretty cool. Very solid and responsive.

  • They only have 1 ram slot available. YOu can put a 2gb stick of ram in them though.
