There are a hell of a lot of invalid negs in this thread! If you want to complain about the total price, then either find a product cheaper or keep it to a comment. Thats very simply what the very clear rules on the wiki say.

  • +1

    pffft, even pickup costs $30

    • -2

We will ship from warehouse to campsie nsw for pickup. It is large and heavy item and it is handling cost.

      • where is your warehouse?
Can I pick up from your warehouse for free?
        r u serious?

        • I've now edited the deal for the pedantic.

Item is $30 & free pickup, shipping extra.

        • +2

I so wish I could like this :)

    • +2

I seriously cant believe you would whine about getting something legitimately worth at least $200 for a $30 handling fee to ship it across sydney
Find somewhere else cheaper! Been importing a couple of meters at a time for $6odd cos the stuff is so pricey here - trust me - I JUMPED on this deal

  • +3

No deal if you ask me. $30 for pickup? I don't think so.

    • +1

find a 50m roll of sticker vinyl cheaper, or remove your neg cos its a hell of a deal

      • As what mycosys said: Economic, if you can't point to somewhere else that is cheaper then your vote is invalid.

    • I've now edited the deal for the pedantic.

Item is $30 & free pickup, shipping extra.

  • +3

$30 handling fee apply for pickup from Campsie Sydney. NO DEAL

    • +1

We will ship from warehouse to campsie nsw for pickup. It is large and heavy item and it is handling cost.
Thats $299 off! Search ebay. We have to clean our warehouse soon so we are giving these away as xmas gift. Deal or no deal up to you :)

      • -2

Arrogance or no arrogance…up to us to decide..thanks..

      • -4

Ebay has a few people asking $250 (note: not actually selling for $250), and it looks like those people are actually you.

It looks like you make a profit for any sale $30+ and now you've ridiculously overpriced this junk, claim it's free and slug a $30 pick up fee.

Not to mention your pretty average ebay feedback, half of which looks fake…
        Yeah, no thanks.

  • $82 postage-no thanks

  • after postage its the same price or cheaper elsewhere

    • Elsewhere is about $6 - $10 per meter so 50x$6 = $300 saving

    • Got a link - bearing in mind this is 36"x150' sticker vinyl, not 106cm x 50cm - 106cm x 50 METERS, 1 roll will wrap SEVERAL cars ENTIRELY - for $100-200 you can bloody wrap your house! PLEASE show me cheaper

    • As what mycosys said: cvas, if you can't point to somewhere else that is cheaper then your vote is invalid.

  • No deal If charge reasonable then we will buy

  • +1

    overcharge on shipping! no deal

    • its not overcharge. anyway up to you :)

  • Disgraceful to charge for pickup, especially that price. Your internal stock movements and costs are irrelevant to the purchaser.

    • +1

should I remove the pickup option then?

      • What does the $30 pickup fee actually cover?

        • its shipping cost from warehouse to campsie pickup address

      • +1

You should make the product cost $30. Duh.

    • +1

Why is just being honest disgraceful?
Hidden shipping and handling costs are disgraceful, dont get why everyone falls for the 'free shipping' game when there is no such thing

      • +1

Because he is charging $0 for the product and adding his own internal business costs as a separate charge. This should be incorporated in the product price, not charge zero for the product. Also means there is technically no warranty or refund available on the product as it's being provided for no charge.

If you have any other basic or obvious questions you need answered please let me know.

        • We are fair, vistap* is not fair?

        • +2

Thanks, I have studied accounting, My sister is a lecturer in accounting, my father teaches Business studies at TAFE, and my brother and mother are economists - reckon I might have the bases covered on that one.
The psychology behind what you are saying is well known, it is why all inclusive deals are so popular, even though you are paying for far more than you would if you had an itemised tab. I am not saying I dont know what you are saying, I am just saying that froma bargain hunter point of view it makes no sense whatsoever. Clear and open, Itemised charges for materials and labour and shipping etc is a far more honest way to do business than the all in one approach, and far more likely to land you a proper deal. Tho as has been clearly illustrated today, gullible or uneducated consumers would far prefer to have it all hidden from them and pay more.
If Kevin (we have made acquaintance since I purchased, he is a really nice guy) had listed these at $50 free pickup, taken $40 off all the delivery costs and posted it like that it would likely not have received a single invalid neg, rather than 5! AND he would have been losing significantly less.
Just for some reason people hate itemised bills, and especially the facts of life when it comes to the cost of shipping for large items.

These rolls are heavy! they are well above the unaided handling limit for one person, so every time they are moved by hand, by NSW law 2 people must be used, which is never the quickest way. They are also bulky and awkward to handle adding further to handling time. The courier companies take all this into account, and they are also really fond of making large profits (unlike govt organisations like auspost) and on stuff like this dont have to worry about auspost as a competitor.

tl;dr only fools would prefer an all in one bill rather than paying lower itemised costs
And why would he want to offer warranty on something he is already losing money on? (tho technically there are still legal protections if it costs you some other way)

        • your family must be so proud.

        • +1

given I have trouble walking more than about 10m unaided and am mostly wheelchair or couch bound - they tend to worry a lot.
Proud of me slowly making it through an engineering degree with Ds and HDs tho - never beat my sister - she got university medals and all that crap, Mum didnt do her degree til she had us, but still was offered honours.

  • This looks like their ebay store. Mixed reviews on the quality of the vinyl

    • The quality is good. Free sample is available at redfern warehouse or just post a mail with return stamp to 1/18 hill st campsie nsw 2194 and we will post you the sample.

      • +1

Can't we just get the whole roll free from the warehouse?

        • Sorry I wish but warehouse is not open to public.

      • +2

is there a pickup fee for the sample?

        • No pickup fee for sample.

        • +1

          classic

        • +3

You obviously have no idea how warehousing works. As a receptionist can give you a sample you can get a sample.

Getting bulky items out of warehouse takes staff, time and forklift as well as oh&s - public are not allowed in.

        • +2

THANK YOU! Some bloody sense in this thread.
It is truly amazing how few people understand the level of hassle and regulation that goes with moving anything over ~15kg anywhere these days. It certainly saves a LOT of crippling back injuries but it is a minefield of OH&S law, planning and paperwork, and it doesn't come cheap either in the warehouse or from place to place.
FFS it takes a multi-page risk assessment to implement just about anything involving machinery especially these days, pages and pages of safety protocol. It can seem ridiculous but it is the cost of keeping people alive and off compo, so in the end it makes sense, but by god they are a PITA.

And i would guess they would have sample rolls at the showroom, making it no problem to cut you a piece - rather than get the forklift to get it out of the racking.

        • sure, no idea of warehousing…

  • +2

WoW, shipping charges to NT and most areas of WA over $200+!

    • Its large and heavy item. Sydney is $55.49 ship by courier as it is over size for Australia post

      • +1

These are going to weigh close to 30kg each and are over a meter long, plus packaged to prevent damage to the edges etc, auspost wont even carry something like this

        • Yes you are right we are shipping by courier and it is expensive to ship these bulk heavy item. Oh man I will not post any more bargain if people do not like this. Vistap* is overcharge for shipping and their post got so many positive feedback, we are not overcharge but … ozbargainer please tell me why?

        • Do you itemise every cost to your business on every product? No?

Then why are you doing it on this one?

If you can't afford to offer the product for free, then don't offer it for free and add stupid charges on top. Otherwise it's not FREE.

        • Thank you for your suggestion. We have to move our warehouse soon and these are too heavy to carry. My manager dont want to move it again and again.

        • +1

To be fair pmupsinep (I know that may be a new concept to you) it is an exceedingly common practice to charge handling and shipping costs separately to the price of the item, why should he stop doing so just because he starts giving the stock away rather than move it again?
And given he likely works mostly B2B, why would he not itemise everything as is normal in B2B?
What possible logic is there in your criticism? Apart from the usual nit picking and looking for something to complain about?

Have you managed to post your first deal yet after all these years?

        • If it's shipped to you, yes. Not if you're picking it up from the business' premises. As always, I need to explain the obvious to you.

  • +1

Any discount code to help reduce the steep postage fee? I don't mind ordering if can reduce part of the postage fee

I was quoted $88 for shipping

    • So if he had made it $50 with $38 shipping would it be more appealing?

  • +1

Where the hell can you get commercial sticker vinyl for cutting for $30 for a 50sqm roll?? its less than a dollar a square meter, and as I have just found out - service is great, big plus from me

    • +1

We have to move from our warehouse. $0.6 a meter is a BIG Bargain! Dont know why people positive for vistap* for overcharge shipping but neg this bargain :(

      • You wasted everyone's time advertising this as FREE, then adding a stupidly high pickup charge. That's why.

        • As I said it is large and heavy product. It is the cost the courier charge us and we cannot charge less than that. Sorry if I waste anyone's time but there are many people who might need this giveaway product. Thank you for your advice and I have learned :)
Anyway please note these size are sold out: Black 61cm x 50meters (sold out) & White 61cm x 50meters (sold out).

  • Misleading post title. Ain't nobody got time for that!

  • +1

seem like a fair price to me.. tight wads always want something for nothing. if you were after a large amont of this stuff im sure you would have no issue with the total cost… except people in wa/nt may want to check if it can be had locally for cheaper as postage is a killer but my guess is you wouls struggle to do so.

  • what do you use this for? kitchen floor?

    • To wrap a Christmas gifts, post boxes, sign making.. use for anything as you wish for this bargain price :)

    • +1

Most common use is for signs on windows/billboards with the letters/graphics cut from it. Next would be graphics or stickers on cars or windows. Can also be used to wrap an entire car should you so wish for a removable new colour - this is becoming increasingly popular. Can also be applied as accents to vinyl clothing tho the edges may need reinforcing. Cover a wardrobe with it if you like,
It is pretty much supersize, super thick contact like we used to use to cover schoolbooks.

  • Rep, trying to check out with Paypal and is charged at euro $21.xx which is equal to AUD$34.XX. How can we pay in AUD?
