Unfortunately this is the best we can do bud!
Includes GST, shipping and local warranty so it's not too bad I hope!

Hats off for the price but just horribly rated. I haven't used them but reviews say they're not as good as the RS180, which I do have, and for me the 180s are disappointing.

    • +2

You can't expect audiophile quality with wireless headphones. Even the RS180s aren't that great.

      • True they're not quite the HD600/650 with a great amp but it does sound surprisingly similar. With the advantage of wireless and not having to buy an expensive amp of course!

A few people have come in and mentioned the reviews on RS180 vs RS220 but a quick listen usually sets it straight!

The RS220 is definitely the better of the two in our opinion, much like the HD598 vs HD650 kind of jump. Obviously some may prefer the former, but I think most would agree that it's a reasonable step up!

      • +1

Agreed. Wired $200 headphones would destroy these. As I always tell my friends, only by wireless if you must, not because you want to.

        • +1

Not a fact. Similarly priced headphones would definitely sound better, but you'd need to pay quite a bit more than $200 to get noticeably better sound.
Besides, saying that wired cans are better than wireless ones is like saying that a motorbike is better than a pushbike (or vice versa) - they are different products each serving a different purpose and are used in different circumstances.

        • +2

Yes, that's why I said only buy wireless if you must, because I agree they shouldn't be compared.

  • +1

I have these headphones, purely because I wanted wireless. They produce very good quality sound.

      Glad you're enjoying them!

A couple of us at the shop have RS220s, as great as our audiophile headphones are the convenience of wireless can't be beaten when watching TV, playing games or vacuuming!

    • +2

Those are the HDR220 which are the additional headset for the RS220 ;)

Rs170 and rs220 cost the same on your website and rs180 cost more? Unrealistic prices, how about having some good prices on those?? Cheers

    • I know right? We just have those in case someone particularly wants them so we didn't get too great of a deal we can pass on. Sorry about that!

I bought the ol RS140s from the UK for 100 pounds. 5 years later they are still sitting next to the TV going strong. Stream some music and you can walk around the whole house and still hear every beat.

  • Rep any chance for deal on HD800, LCD2, K812 or even HE500? :D I am looking for upgrade from my AKG Q701

    • Sure there's a chance!

I have used both RS180 and the RS220. The 220's are well in front. For wireless headphones they are top notch. You cannot compare corded to cordless. If you don't care wether they are wired or wireless you will do much better with wired.

  • Rep, or anyone who has tried both… How do these compare to the audio technica ath-m50? I love my m50s but they are pretty worn out by now. Might take the plunge if these sound as good (or better)…

    • They're different for sure but the RS220 should be a noticable step up in terms of overall sound quality.
Considering these sound similar to the $400-$500 pair from Sennheiser they should sound better!

They do have different sound characteristics however, more bass and more open sound!

      • You convinvced me. I'm in.

  • What are the chances of these working on linux?

    • They'll work with anything with a standard audio output (RCA or 3.5mm) or digital out (coaxial or optical)!
The operating system shouldn't make a difference!

  • I've been disappointed with every earphone especially Sennheiser, until I discovered the Denon AH-D5000's
BTW: you list them as D2000

  • Alright! They've been sent off and those that ordered on Friday should've already received them.

    Hope you're enjoying them guys!

  • Hi Rep, I just purchased. Any deals on an extra headset?
